NEW YORK NON-COMPETE BAN UPDATE: Governor Hochul made what we believe are her first public statements on the bill passed by the NY State Legislature in June, which would ban most non-compete agreements in New York. She suggested a need need for balance: protecting low and middle-income workers while considering the interests of high-earning sectors. With a potential $250k/year wage floor, New York's approach could set new precedent.
