Got AVGAS? Joint Inspection Group has mandated on July of 2023 as end of life for Super Absorbent Polymer (SAP) based filter monitors. This also includes filter monitors used in AVGAS filtration. The Energy Institute also withdrew EI 1583 specification as of December 2020. What alternative non-SAP based solution exist for AVGAS filtration? Second vessel has been upgraded from EGS-01 to the Woodward LECM (E6). In 5 days we could replace the EGS-01, Tecjet 50+, ProAct Digital and 2301D on 4x MHI GS16/12R gas engines. All engine start at their first attempt. After changing the gas compensation values like, Density, lambda Stoichiometric and the LHV, no adjustment were needed to run in the correct emissions.
