Keynote Speaker & Corporate Trainer | 500+ seminars and workshops offered to support collaborative, innovative, and energized teams
I just got out of a seminar in which we discussed the importance of role modeling as a leader. (Nice to see this pop up right after. 😊) 👉 If you want to see a shift in workplace behavior, make sure you’ve *shown* what “right” looks like. The practice of role modeling transparency (which can include, “I need help with…”) is making an appearance in my upcoming 8-week manager training program, going live January 2025. 🎉 If your team needs a hybrid leadership training program (self-paced training + weekly one-hour live sessions), feel free to shoot me a message! #leadership #management #managertraining #leadershiptraining

Sometimes even if the leader knows certain things or perhaps understands everything about the job (which I believe is impossible)*, it is good for him to delegate or pretend that he knows less than it might look like, it might teach the team an example of leadership and inclusion beyond them, as they already know the leader's capabilities. Leaders can also learn from the team! ##PraticeLeadership

Simon Sinek hit the nail on the head with this one! Leadership isn’t just about giving orders; it’s about setting an example. Just like in a family, team members will mirror their leader’s actions. If leaders are honest about their weaknesses and seek help, it creates a culture where everyone feels safe to do the same. This vulnerability can strengthen the team immensely. How have you responded to leaders who act with this level of openness and vulnerability? Share your experiences below!

Absolutely True! When leaders demonstrate the courage to ask for help and encourage others to do the same, it sets a powerful tone for the entire team. It shows that collaboration and communication are valued, and that every voice matters. This kind of leadership not only builds trust but also drives better results.
