Woodpeckers is a 2D animated short film. The film is about a sleepy fox who's trying to take a nap under a tree, but was unable to do it because a woodpecker is pecking on the tree. The fox tried shooing away the bird but to no avail. He tried to find another quieter place, but just as he found his peace and quiet, he saw something terrifying. In this film I experimented with trying to come up with my own story, learn how to animate frame-by-frame and how to set the timing correctly so that the film flows well. #animation #2danimation #animatedshort #shortfilm

Here's my animated short film: Castle Ascent It's a dynamic action thriller about a woman who fights to survive as a killing machine hunts her through a castle. It was animated entirely in Unreal Engine 5.3 (no other DCC packages involved like maya or blender). This was an exercise in solo filmmaking and keyframe animation. The goal was to see if I could make a dynamic and action-filled 1 minute short film leveraging pre-made environments and characters. The only other software I used was Davinci Resolve for editorial and post. Here's a summary of my process: -source assets (environments, characters) -virtual scouting -come up with an original concept/story -build a simple & efficient pipeline -rig a UE control rig for the mech -animation -cinematography -editorial -sound design -DI/Post Assets by: MetaHuman Stormcrow Studios Crazy Vertex Meshingun Studio Thanks for watching!
