Fallacies & False Narratives of the Clean Energy and Climatism-Part I 1. Electric Vehicles will have millions of batteries that need proper disposal. How can that be called "clean energy"? Wind and solar also face challenges when disposing of their turbines and panels. 2. Consider this: EV car batteries require cobalt, a resource often mined by African slave labor. Is it ethical to disregard this reality in the name of 'clean energy '? Moreover, China, a significant player in the solar panel industry, produces 80% or more of the world's solar panels, often using slave labor. Shouldn't energy production be about uplifting all lives, not just the privileged few? 3. Additionally, manufacturing solar panels requires high heating of silicon, which is done by coal. Wind and solar energy sources have gross capacities they can only partially meet. For instance, a typical 3-megawatt wind turbine would require 1,333 of them to match the power output of a 1200-megawatt nuclear power plant. This is because wind energy only operates at 20% to 35% of its maximum capacity. A wind farm equivalent to a nuclear plant would also need 9000 acres of land. 5. Solar energy is more efficient but only produces about 40% of its capacity in actual power output. Therefore, even with large-scale installations of wind and solar, they can only offer about 30% of their capacity in realized power despite appearing to achieve much more. Solar energy is more effective than wind energy, as it produces more power, and in some applications, such as home installation, power can be stored in batteries.
