A lot can happen in 60 years. 60 years of science, technology, research, engineers, operations, and innovation. These are just a few things that embody PMI in Switzerland over these last years ⬇️
When I joined Philip Morris International 18 years ago, I knew that the company was committed to developing better alternatives to smoking through scientific discovery and innovation. But what I couldn’t have imagined was the incredible pace and scale of our progress. Bold action is often the catalyst for innovation and meaningful change – and our smoke-free vision fully embodies that. Throughout that journey, Switzerland has served as both an anchor and launching pad for this progress. Our presence in the country, now reaching six decades, has always been defined by our people - their drive, creativity, and dedication to learning and the pursuit of science. Thousands of people, both current and past colleagues, have redefined our company as we push the boundaries to shape the future well beyond this small country’s borders. And for me personally, Switzerland has offered an incredible opportunity to work with some of the most impressive and inspiring talent across science, research, communications and engagement, operations, finance, HR, IT, and much more. I could not see my own professional journey developing the way it did anywhere else. To commemorate PMI’s 60 years in Switzerland, this tribute video is a celebration of who we are. It’s a reminder of the pride we share in being part of PMI, and the important role we are all playing to achieve a smoke-free future. 💭How do personal development and a competitive edge go hand in hand? Last week, I had the pleasure of participating in a barrier-pushing webinar, co-presented by Philip Morris International’s Italian affiliate colleagues that focused on the topic of “Becoming the best version of yourself”. I shared my experience of coming into my own #PMIDNA and heard from other members of the company on how they sustain personal and professional growth. A few insights and key tips uncovered from our conversation: ➡️Combine Aspiration with Purpose: Each one of us is the motor of our own development. If we do not take action, it will not happen. When we start with a clear definition of our ASPIRATION and we emphasize our PURPOSE, we become a powerhouse destined for success. ➡️Maintain a Growth Mindset: We are never done learning – this is a fact. Setting goals for ourselves is not a one-time action. Being curious, asking questions instead of dispensing answers, leveraging perspective from colleagues, mentors and mentees is a key ingredient to broaden and accelerate learnings. ➡️Embrace Being Yourself: Our human capital sets us apart, beyond any technology or innovative products. We should remind ourselves of the biggest talents that we bring to the table – whether it be creativity, strategic thinking, courage or undeniable passion – to meet our goals. Too often we are asked to fixate on our weakness. With a vision as large as creating a #smokefreefuture, I feel incredibly supported by my colleagues at #PMI and am encouraged every day to bring my best self to work. Thrilled to be recognized as DSP Change Agent for Q4.2024! There's 2 things (at least) that I am really proud of from this event : 1. Our commitment to sustain this recognition culture. It's so easy to get carried over by the day to day task and we sometimes forget to recognize people for their work and effort. Personally seeing people's achievement do boost my motivation and I do feel more connected! 2. How I survived all the changes in 2023. The role itself was new and event though I am working on the field that is not exactly new, but since it haven't been the focus for the past years there's a lot of things that is not defined yet. It has its own pros and cons, in a way I could define it the way we "idealy" think it should be, but in the other hand also I should deal with a lot of "no man's land" case. Something that haven't been done before, so no one is working on it or even sometimes no one (not even myself) even knows exactly how ideally it should be done. A lot of benchmarking and self learning to do, a looooooot of alignment, reminder, RACI, guidelines and other things to be done. Definitely not easy, but reflecting on the journey, I am happy and proud on how I can contribute in defining and establishing the Export projects and operations at Nestle Indonesia. Excited to see it grow bigger and better!

Under Pressure - Supply Chain Challenge++ 2024 Mentoring teams to success is no easy feat, but SFS has done it not once, but twice! Nanyang Polytechnic's team in 2022 and Institute of Technical Education's team in 2023 both became champions in previous SCC++ competitions under SFS's mentorship. SFS's students are expected to perform deep research to come up with a problem statement while also mastering their presentation skills to sell their proposed solutions to the audience. It's a challenging journey, but SFS is there every step of the way. Now, the 2024 SCC++ theme is just around the corner and SFS is excited to participate once again. A big round of applause to the 5 mentor companies who volunteered to join this challenge, providing a great platform for participating students to experience the real deal. There's no better place than SCC++ 2024 to showcase their skills! Thanks to Singapore Logistics Association and Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) for organising this event. As in every challenge, we learnt from the students as well, it is two-way. Win or Lose, we are all Champions who volunteered to mentor the students and for the students it is a life-long learning experience! There are only WINNERS!
