Can’t make out if the design internship is worth it? Try there 2 questions to filter out the bad ones. Whenever I meet an emerging designer that is interested in working with TRL Fashion Space to find the next job opportunity, I always dive deep into their background and experience. Till today I have not heard the best of things about fashion designer internships. Most are unpaid, and involve admin work that does not improve your knowledge and skill. Here are two questions you could ask during you interview or screening call to see if the internship is worth your time: •How does the company ensure that the internship program provides meaningful learning opportunities for aspiring designers? •Are there mentorship or training programs in place to support interns and help them gain valuable skills and experiences? Ask the challenging questions early on and you’ll reduce the chances of getting yourself in a bad internship. The change starts with you. What would you add to the two questions or do differently?
