In light of my colleague's post yesterday ( 🖐 Colm O'Connor) celebrating 2 years at Scurri, I thought I'd also reflect on my time here, as we started the same day. Below is the swag I received the day I first visited the Irish office, which I struggled to fit into my suitcase on the return trip. So it got me thinking, what else has Scurri given me in the last two years? Well... 🤝 - Trust - Scurri had the foresight to want to implement a Rev ops function instead of the traditional sales ops function, and then trusted me to run it. Having previously experienced friction between departments, it's great to see modern structures being implemented that align marketing, sales and Customer success to ensure one fluid process. It also helps when you have three very open and responsive department heads (Thanks Emer Phelan, Rose Power and Gavin Murphy) 🌴 - Freedom - I'm given freedom to define projects with teams/individuals, and the measurement is my output and impact on the business, not simply how long you are at your desk or in the office. Work/life balance for me is crucial. 📚 - Experience - New to the industry, so having to learn sales and lead generation cycles, as well as our GTM data, has been an interesting experience. Luckily at Scurri we have a lot of industry experience, so every day I am learning how I can apply my knowledge and skills to the ECommerce sector 💪 - Challenge - I'm challenged every day in my role, as it should be! Priorities in a growing business can quickly shift and move, and you have to adapt to that and respond accordingly. I like the fast pace and enjoy seeing the impact on the business my work has. 🏆 - Recognition - Scurri takes recognition and achievements seriously, giving regular feedback. I was delighted to receive the Scurri 'Lean' trophy for 2023, for recognition of my work. Rev ops is a role that can easily go under the radar (try explaining what you do at a party and keep somebody's attention for more than 10 seconds), its unglamorous, you're often having to deliver bad news, and sales generally have a picture of you on their dartboard, so to be recognised like this was truly humbling. So as you can see, Scurri have given me a lot more than a thermos flask and a battery pack! #scurri
