Polyurethane #Recycling Technology As we all know, polyurethane is very versatile. At the same time, the factories of polyurethane foam produce a large amount of offcuts, mold spills, and waste products every year, as well as polyurethane waste in various fields need to be disposed. The recycling and reuse of these waste can not only reduce environmental pollution, but also conserve resources. The main important recycling technologies available today as below~ ►#Bondmolding technology Bond molding is the most commonly used method of polyurethane recycling, the polyurethane is crushed into fine granules, then sprayed with a reactive polyurethane-based adhesive, mixed evenly and heated and pressurized. The recycled foam can be used as cushions and supports. ►Used as #filler Polyurethane regrind is used as filler in the production of polyurethane foam or other products. This method not only enables the recycling of waste polyurethane, but also reduces the cost of products effectively. ►#Thermoforming technology The elongation at break and surface properties of the recycled products prepared by this method are relatively poor, and are generally suitable for products that only require good dimensional stability, heat resistance and aging resistance. This method is suitable for situations where the waste composition is known. ►#Extrusion technology Extrusion molding is a product in which polyurethane regrind is added to the screw, and the polyurethane macromolecular chain is cut to a medium-length molecular chain through the heat and shear force of the screw, and the rigid polyurethane material can be transformed into a soft plastic polyurethane material by this method. And for those soft polyurethane foam waste can be directly crushed and then injection molded. ►#Other The waste in production is cut into small pieces and used as packaging cushioning filling material or bedding, etc directly. Polyurethane foam can also be used as artificial soil and natural soil covering.
