Kirthi, there is no doubt India has the potential and TCS might attract many Corporates from across the globe in the AI space. Leveraging AI, might transform customer experience, improve outcomes, and reduce administrative burdens: however, such AI solutions, rather GEN AI solutions if embraced without social considerations these deep learning models can end up as black boxes. We must admit, the outcome of such calibrations using ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE will remain Artificial as the Intelligence of a human cannot be replaced. Thus, these human and machine learning models could be unfair, making unethical decisions leading to unintended consequences.
While Jamshedji through Tata and sons had a vision, “Giving it back to the society”, a social responsibility that would benefit future generations; such promises will continue to be fulfilled if the purpose is marginalized to sectors were HUMAN-RESPONSE vs DIGITAL-RESPONSE becomes the key criteria in the selection of AI products. Such ‘Response Criteria Evaluation’ must be justified through a human beneficial lens as opposed to a corporate if Jamshedji’s promises needs to be kept. .
