While 60g of a whole fruit, 60g of pureed fruit, and 60g of fruit that has been juiced have the same #carbs and similar #GlycemicIndex (GI), GI only indicates how quickly a food or drink will increase blood sugar, not how much higher blood sugar will go. It seems that we don't becoming old gradually, and at age 44 and age 60 are where molecules show accelerated, non-linear changes. People in their 40s get more muscle injuries and see fat accumulation increase and this is related to changes in lipid metabolism. It's infuriating. A young adult woman of child-bearing age with ammenorhea (no period) for 4 years, "but #thyroid is fine" when only #TSH was tested. I discussed the "patient pay" option of obtaining a full thyroid panel with the client in order to rule out subclinical #hypothyroidism. Or rule it in, as the case may be. https://lnkd.in/gAGhYKMM

Only 1/4 of people with #glioblastoma survive more than 1 year. I don't understand cautioning a patient againat adopting a #therapeutic #ketogenic diet due to high #cholesterol.
