The healthcare and benefits landscape is heading towards a more #personalized, #proactive and #datadrivenapproach. https://lnkd.in/dhPNu5D7 Additionally, personalized medicine and predictive analytics are set to advance further, enabling providers to design robust #preventativecareprograms and develop public health initiatives based on identified trends and patterns, ultimately improving the wellbeing of entire populations. #Employers and providers are beginning to #leveragedata and artificial intelligence to revolutionize care and benefits, with more innovative #techsolutions expected in the coming years.

It is a bold vision and such an exciting opportunity to make some truly world-beating changes to the way that healthIT ecosystems are delivered. It is, of course, a monumental challenge, not to be underestimated ('net-zero' scale) but I think a bit of cunning expansion of Shared Care Record extracts alongside truly patient-centric, longitudinal, vendor-neutral records like London Universal Care Plan would give some very quick wins. Truly making a change will require us gradually to get the primary/original record out of EPRs and into vendor-neutral stores, not just extract/copies of those records, where safe. scalable synchronisation and coherence is virtually impossible.

It’s World Health Day and this year’s campaign theme is “My health, my right” – a concept that is crucial when it comes to advocating for and promoting the universal right to healthcare.
