How sustainable and responsible is the National 3 Peaks challenge? I have some pretty strong views on this event, our responsibilities to the environments we are lucky to work in and how we can deliver these events with a clearer conscience. I also have a strong link with the event having taken part in my first 3 peaks as a participant in 1999 and done multiple events for many years as leader and organiser. That doesn’t mean it’s a good thing to still be doing, so is it time to call it a day? Anyhow, we have tried to give balanced input for those that simply must take this particular challenge in hit they are transferable processes. Of you are keen for National 3 Peaks, let’s have a chat about your goals and options. https://lnkd.in/e-Dpy3gs #charitychallenge #getoutside #sustainablebusiness #quittalkingstartdoing #fundraising #charityevent #mountains

JB Were recently reported that the corporate sector has a scale the charity sector can't match, with 20x annual income. To help them evolve, they need partners who are experts in 'purpose'. J9's workshop today with Dry July Foundation was designed to guide the team on creating sustainable corporate partnerships that benefit both stakeholders. It's time to move past one-off business sponsorships and embrace #sharedvalue partnerships. Let's work together to create partnerships that benefit everyone involved. #corporatepartnerships #esg #sharedvalue

Amazing results from our recent Not-for-Profit publisher! 🗣️ The Freecycle Network is a unique non-profit organization that facilitates a global gift-sharing economy across 110 countries. Members give and get items for free, fostering stronger community ties and promoting environmental sustainability. 🍃 As a non-profit organization primarily relying on grants, sponsorships, and ad royalties to fund their annual budget of about three hundred thousand dollars, maximizing advertising revenue was crucial. Deron Beal, founder of the site, decided to try Publift as Freecycle.org was suffering from a major #CMP issue that resulted in daily losses, along with technical issues and delayed payments from their previous provider. How did it go? 🤔 While the Freecycle Network's vision and mission are to build a worldwide sharing movement that reduces waste, #Publift's mission is never to reduce revenue! Key results after working with Publift 📈 - 85% revenue uplift after 1 month - 96% revenue uplift after 2 months - 28 brands blocked for brand safety For more details, read here🧐 https://buff.ly/4aN8Rgz

A Fundraising Director tells all - four failures shaping their career Michael Dent from WWF-UK reveals four learnings 💪🏾 As innovators, we often discuss embracing failure as a crucial step to success. But the culture of most organisations does not celebrate failure as a critical building block. It was, therefore, really refreshing to witness Michael, the WWF's Director of Supporter Income & Engagement, bravely take to the stage in front of a packed room at the CIOF National Convention to talk about some of his most spectacular fundraising disasters. This is the kind of brave leadership the charity sector needs. Failure #1 1. Wonderland Chalet Chic - at Macmillan This idea came from a desire to fill a gap in the fundraising portfolio. Macmillan had no Christmas offer, and Michael was eying Save the Children's Christmas jumper day with a touch of envy. At the time, there was a trend for apres-ski as a social event. Macmillan had a supporter segment called Trend-Seekers. Voila Chalet Chic was born. The campaign went all in on a big launch. No test-and-learn approach was used (regretfully, he added) Registrations were pretty good. Around 13,000 in total. But fundraised income was poor: £500k spent £60K raised The campaign was deemed a huge failure and never repeated. If you want to hear failures 2,3 AND 4 - the rest are detailed in our latest Flying Cars blog. The link is in the comments! 😎 #fundraising #innovation

🎉 Yeehaw! EQ Resources Saddles Up for the Mt Carbine Rodeo! 🎉 EQ Resources was excited to be part of the action at this year’s Mt Carbine Bull & Bronc Ride! Since its establishment in 2000 by local residents and businesses, the Mt Carbine #Rodeo Association has been a driving force in promoting #tourism and raising funds for the #community. As a voluntary, non-profit organization, their mission is to maintain and upgrade the rodeo grounds, so that other #charities can continue using the facilities for #fundraising events. This annual rodeo doesn’t just deliver thrilling entertainment—it has a lasting impact on our community. From hosting meaningful initiatives like the Biggest Morning Tea for Cancer and the Cardiac Challenge to providing incredible sponsorships, like supporting Josh Snell’s journey to represent our local community at the International Miniature Bullriding World Finals in the USA, this event is important to community growth. At EQ Resources, we take pride in supporting initiatives that resonate with our stakeholders, and they’ve expressed just how important this event is to them. That’s why we’re committed to backing the Mt Carbine Rodeo, inviting our team members, their families, and key stakeholders to enjoy the festivities with us at our hospitality tent. It was a fantastic day of fun, connection, and local pride, all while ensuring the safety of both riders and animals. Supporting the Mt Carbine Rodeo is a reflection of our dedication to the causes that matter most to our community. Together, we’re keeping this tradition strong and giving back in meaningful ways. 🎵 Lainey Wilson Hang Tight Honey #MtCarbineRodeo #CommunitySupport #EQResources #RodeoAction #SustainableCommunity #LocalHeroes #BullAndBronc #ProudSupporter #BiggestMorningTea #CardiacChallenge #CommunityFirst #StakeholderDriven
