Flexible interview processes allow companies to recruit the best talent. Period. Story time. Yesterday I received an offer and acceptance for a candidate who was looking for a permanent healthcare role. However, the process was anything but smooth. 2 days before the first interview, she had to leave the country to be by her Dad’s side. Rightfully so, this job and process fell on the list of priorities for her and I approached the client honestly about what was happening. My goal: do right by the candidate so that life circumstances didn’t stop her from getting the job she worked so hard for. Her background was perfect so rather than complain or go with someone else, they listened to me, and found a solution to work with the situation. After 2 virtual interviews at very weird hours and an offer, she accepted a new job while 7,000 miles away.
