Are your customers going to leave you? How to stop losing customers: By using the Dormancy rate KPI. Dormancy rate differs from churn rate by focusing on customer activity, rather customers who have left. Higher activity means better product engagement. This makes Dormancy an excellent predictor of whether a customer will leave or not. Definitions: C = The number of active customers at the beginning of the period (month, quarter or year) U = Of those customers, how many of them remained active during the period?
