🎊 Congratulations to Charity Dicken of Patrick F. Taylor Science & Technology Academy for her outstanding achievement, placing 1st in the Military Child Education Coalition® | MCEC® Call for the Arts competition for her piece titled “Cuddys.” Her ongoing display of artistic talent is truly inspiring! Charity’s artistic talents shine brightly, and we eagerly anticipate the beauty she will continue to create in the future. “Both my grandfathers served in the Navy. I live in New Orleans and my favorite place to visit in my free time is The National WWII Museum. Visiting the WWII Museum always inspires me to come home and draw things that interest me, so with that I chose to do a piece on Susan Ahn Cuddy with her brothers that also served in WWII.” -Charity Dicken We are #JPSchoolsProud! 💙 #JPSchools #HighSchool #StudentArt #ArtContest #winner #MCEC #CallForTheArts #Competition #WWII #PFTSTA #ChooseJPSchools #TigerPride

Memorial Day is more than just a long weekend. It's a time for us to unite and honor the brave men and women who have sacrificed their lives for our freedom. At The HR Xperts, we recognize the significance of this day and encourage everyone to take a moment to reflect on its true meaning. Here are 5 meaningful ways to celebrate Memorial Day: 1. Attend a Memorial Service: Participate in a local ceremony to pay your respects to those who have served. It's a powerful way to connect with your community and remember our fallen heroes. 2. Visit a Military Cemetery: Take some time to visit a veterans' cemetery. Place flowers or flags on graves to show your gratitude and honor the memory of those who have given everything. 3. Support a Veteran Organization: Consider donating to or volunteering with organizations that support veterans and their families. Your contributions can make a significant difference in the lives of those who have served. 4. Educate Yourself and Others: Spend some time learning about the history of Memorial Day and the stories of the heroes it commemorates. Share this knowledge with friends and family to keep their memories alive. 5. Pause for the National Moment of Remembrance: At 3 p.m. local time, join the nation in silence to honor the fallen. This simple act of respect and unity can be a powerful reminder of the sacrifices made for our freedom. Let's make this Memorial Day a time of reflection, respect, and gratitude. Together, we can honor the legacy of our heroes and ensure their sacrifices are never forgotten. #MemorialDay #HonorOurHeroes #TheHRXperts #Gratitude #Community #Veterans #Remembrance Remember to engage with our post by sharing your tips and stories of how you honor Memorial Day. Together, we can spread awareness and pay tribute to those who have given everything for our country.

As we gather with friends and family this Memorial Day, it's a time for reflection and gratitude. This day holds profound significance as we honor the brave men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country, and for that we are forever grateful. Looking for ways to give back? Here are just a few options: 🇺🇸Volunteer: Offer your time to local veterans' organizations. 🇺🇸Donate: Consider making a contribution to nonprofits that provide vital resources and support to veterans and their families. 🇺🇸Advocate: Raise awareness about the challenges veterans face and advocate for policies that improve their quality of life. 🇺🇸Educate: Teach the younger generation about the significance of Memorial Day and the sacrifices made by our military personnel.

All military equipment in content created or shared by Library.Army are non-functioning replicas that will not be utilized, fired or activated. Our Head Docent, Max Pollard, works for countless non-profit organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, Immaculata Militia, and of course is the initiator of countless nonprofit and charitable organizations and programs. Commonly referred to in academic circles as the “Paul Erdős of etymology,” Pollard is a humble modern-day Renaissance man who works tirelessly to help blind children, and as a constant curator. We cannot thank him enough, and without him as our Head Docent, we would not exist. Library.Army is a modern replacement for the varied theological, historical and scientific societies which formerly existed. We seek nothing from non-members except free passage on our path to creating a more peaceful world. In addition to our archiving and original research, we provide specialized infrastructure to imperiled organizations, and much more.

Today, as we celebrate Memorial Day, let’s take a moment to reflect on the true essence of this day. → It's not just about barbecues and long weekends. → It's about remembering the brave souls who fought for our freedom. → It's about honoring those who made the ultimate sacrifice. A few thoughts on how we can honor our heroes: → Take a moment to remember and honor the fallen soldiers. Their bravery and sacrifice have given us the freedom we enjoy today. → If you know a veteran or someone who has lost a loved one in service, share their stories. Keeping their memory alive is the least we can do. → Find ways to support veterans and their families. This could be through donations, volunteering, or simply lending a listening ear. Let’s not forget: → Freedom isn't free. It comes at a great cost. → Today is a day to remember those who paid that cost with their lives. → Let’s honor them by appreciating the freedoms we have and by striving to make this world a better place in their memory. P.S. - How are you honoring Memorial Day today? #memorialday

Thursday Thoughts: I am a couple of generations removed from the Greatest Generation who defeated Hitler and saved us all from his tyranny. But there a few ideals, common by necessity, during that era that I aim to personally and professionally hold myself accountable to. I can thank my father Reverend Frank Gray Sr (My first Pastor, Vietnam war veteran, honorably discharged from the USAF) for passing these along to me at a young age. Today, I’d like to focus on one: • Service Is Its Own Reward A culture can win or lose its humanity with the emphasis or de-empahsis of a prime cultural principle. Service Is Its Own Reward is one of those, in my humble estimation. In today’s world, dominated by a philosophy of fringe benefits and quid pro quo, this means we need to remphasize the value of self-sacrifice. We need to elevate the underfunded yet essential programs, the underpaid yet critical staff, the “routine” poverty-centric intervention strategies that are ever present in all of our planning cycles. Let’s remind ourselves why we choose to serve, and for whom our service is needed. Let’s develop opportunities to make the work more fulfilling so that service indeed, once again, becomes its own reward. Let’s celebrate our unsung and unseen heroes and heroines who live by this prime principle each day. Without them, non of our organizations would be in business. #charity #philanthropy #service #community

It's #NationalDonutDay! What's your favorite kind of donut? Let us know in the comments. Every year on the first Friday of June, Americans celebrate National Donut Day to honor the Salvation Army Lassies, the women who served doughnuts to soldiers during the First World War to lift their spirits. This tradition began in Chicago in 1938. We "donut" know what we would do without all of our wonderful clients! #GJMAccounting #accountingandaccountants #smallbusiness
