Learning and brain function may be more complex than we thought as this Caribbean box jellyfish seem to do it without a central brain as shown in this new research at Kiel University shows, making learning new tricks "literally a no-brainer." This jellyfish has 4 learning centers called rhopalia distributed over its body, each with 1.000 neuron and six eyes. The research shows that these are capable of learning, but they perform this task individually. One question the #researchers ask now is "if a jellyfish loses one of its rhopalia, does it forget everything those eyes saw and the neurons had learned?
