Troy Bank and Trust team members, Brian Snyder and Steve Ogburn and his wife Beverly, recently partnered with the Food Bank of East Alabama and the Auburn Kiwanis to support the community. They participated in the "backpack program," which helps provide food to children in the Auburn, Opelika, and Lee County school systems. This initiative helps ensure that students in need have meals to take home over the weekend, bridging the gap when school meals aren't available.

One of the reasons why we do what we do at Sirat - The Cleft Warriors Ensemble This indeed made our day! To know more about us, check out the link below: https://lnkd.in/dkejemAh
A simple and beautiful example as to why communities are important 👇🏻 A new parent in our Sirat - The Cleft Warriors Ensemble community recently shared that their unborn baby will have a cleft lip and palate. With support and determination, they’ve chosen to embrace the journey ahead. I was glad to see this message in the morning, it's an affirmation of the message we're trying to convey about Sirat and what people can expect. Sirat exists to ensure that families facing cleft know they're not alone. We connect parents with a supportive network, expert advice, and resources to navigate this path together. Help us reach more families—contribute here or share this post to spread the word. Contribute to the campaign here: https://lnkd.in/gXgWXwB8

Anchoring Communities in Acts of Kindness: Schools are more than educational institutions; they’re civic centres—places where communities gather, connect, and support each other. Through initiatives like Samara Day, we recently witnessed how schools can lead in building stronger, more connected communities, by living out the Trust's vision of Reach Up, Reach Out. Samara Day was all about encouraging students to give back, performing acts of kindness that made a positive impact locally. It was a day when children came together to practice values that strengthen communities and enhance the locality. When schools lead with compassion, they inspire everyone around them. Here’s how Samara Day helped schools shine as civic centres: Building Empathy and Responsibility: Samara Day empowered students to serve their communities, fostering a lifelong commitment to civic engagement and social responsibility. Read more about the day here: https://loom.ly/5EwhThI Bringing Families and Community Members Together: On Samara Day, parents, teachers, and local organisations joined forces, deepening relationships and showing students the power of community collaboration. Creating a Lasting Impact: The acts of kindness on Samara Day created ripple effects that extended far beyond the classroom, reinforcing the idea that schools are places where communities can unite to make a difference. By championing schools as hubs of kindness, learning, and connection, we’re seeing the full potential of schools as civic centers—strengthening our communities one act of kindness at a time. #civiccenter #connectedcommunity #reachout #reachup #chester #cheshire #winsford # ellesmereport

Feed My Starving Children/CGI Plymouth Meeting PA Office On May 17th, an event that will resonate in the hearts of many took place, thanks to the organizational prowess of John Blazosky. In a remarkable display of community and corporate synergy, team members united with our client and other vendor partners at Del Val University. Our collective aim? To strike a blow against the scourge of hunger affecting children across the globe. The day was marked by an atmosphere of hope and determination. Together, we channeled our efforts into a cause greater than ourselves, transforming despair into hope and hunger into satisfaction. The results of our collaboration were nothing short of inspiring: 433 Boxes Packed 93,528 Meals Provided 256 Children will now have meals every day for an entire year. These numbers are not just statistics; they represent lives touched, futures brightened, and the spirit of humanity at its best. Did You Know? Hunger claims the lives of nearly half of all children under 5 years old worldwide. It’s a harrowing reality that underscores the importance of initiatives like ours. The impact of our event is a testament to what can be achieved when we come together for a common cause. As we reflect on our success, let’s carry forward the momentum. The fight against child hunger is ongoing, and it’s a battle we are committed to. Let’s continue to make a difference, one meal, one child at a time. Together, we can turn the tide against hunger. 💙 #FMSC, #cgiforgood #johnblazofsky

Ok - so you may be one of those people who saw all the #GivingTuesday posts and thought it would be good to support them but ended up not doing anything. Well, I have great news for you - today can be #Ididnotletanotheropportunitypass day! And I have even better news - you can do it and get 100% of your donation back! I am talking about supporting one of the amazing Foster Care Organizations in Georgia by making a donation through the Fostering Success Act Tax Credit. As long as you are a Georgia taxpayer, you can be approved (it just takes a few minutes) and make a donation then get 100% of the money back when you file your taxes in 2025. Below is a link to the Goshen Valley website (the Foster Care Organization I support) which has an easy to follow, step-by-step instructions on how to take advantage of this. When you go to the State of Georgia website you will see the other 38 approved FCO's if you want to find one in your area. These organizations depend on our support - and the donations from the tax credit are a GAME CHANGER for them! So there it is...will you let another opportunity go by or will you take a few minutes and change lives for the better? For those of you that support this post, please like or share and help get the word out. Let's make today #Ididnotletanotheropportunitypass day!

Some of us are blessed to wake up on Christmas morning with a room full of love, laughter, and family. The call of our children early in the morning, their voices full of energy and excitement. For me, it’s my very most favorite holiday for those very same reasons. I love traditions and more than anything I love my children and seeing their smiles on Christmas morning. Not everyone has this privilege. Think about children who have been recently removed from their homes, feeling uncertainty, feeling lost and a terrible feeling of grief, not knowing what has happened, not understanding why they are suddenly in a strangers home. Not understanding why “Mom” is not there, wondering where their brother or sister went, why are they not together? Confused about how nice the people are in this new home, but sad because it’s not their home, it’s not their bed, they don’t have their favorite comforting blanket and plush toy. The smell is different, the food looks different, it’s not what “Mom” cooks. Just imagine… This is the feeling of the hundreds of children placed in Foster Care and Residential homes everyday. Its not much compared to all that they have lost, but together we can help share a little joy during the most magical time of the year. Together we can make wishes come true and hope that in someway we have touch the life of a child when they need it most, together we can make a difference! Let’s spread joy together! When participating in Secret Santa you are helping a child in need, who like other children, have wishes and “maybe” a little hope. Interested? Email SecretSanta@HelixHumanServices.org with your interest. We will do our best to match your preferred age and gender. You can help by requesting one wish list and purchasing items on the list. Each wish list is written by each child/youth. I have to say - full disclosure- its fun to see how creative children can get, but sad to see wishes you can fulfill, like “I wish I could see my dad” or “I want to be with my sister”. Other ways to help is making a monetary donation (we do the shopping for you), hosting a toy drive or giving tree, or purchasing an item (or a few) from the Secret Santa Amazon Wish List. Have any questions? Lets chat! To learn more about Helix Human Services and the children and families we serve: www.HelixHumanServices.org To make a monetary donation or learn more about Secret Santa visit: https://lnkd.in/e5MEGNST To see the Amazon Wish List visit (remember as wish lists come in the list of items increases): Link coming soon. Thank you for helping make wishes come true!
This post is calling you to the “North Pole” for another season of cheer, love, and laughter! With Secret Santa, we begin our journey to ensure hundreds of children build memories free from uncertainty and loss during the holiday season. For many children and youth, the joy of waking up to a room full of gifts, family and love is a distant dream. Many of our children are experiencing loss and uncertainty. This is why year after year, our dedicated elves have proven their commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of the children and families we serve. With their help, we’ve been able to bring smiles to countless faces and spread the spirit of giving during the holiday season. As we celebrate our 159th year, we’re determined to surpass last year’s achievement of granting wishes to over 416 children, especially as the need in our community continues to grow. "Kindness has the power to transform lives, and it starts with one simple act. Today, I’m reaching out to ask for your kindness to help children who need it most. At our orphanage, we care for fifty-five incredible children, and every day brings its challenges—especially when it comes to feeding and supporting them. But with your help, we can do more than just provide for their basic needs. We can offer them hope, education, and a future full of possibilities. No act of kindness is too small. Together, we can stand as a community, united by compassion, and make a lasting impact on these children’s lives. Let’s show the world what kindness can do. 💙 #KindnessInAction #SupportTheChildren #FromStreetToHome #MakeADifference"

As part of our 2025 Harmony in the Community strategy, we are proud to announce our partnership with RizeUp Australia, an incredible organisation dedicated to supporting families as they rebuild their lives after experiencing domestic and family violence. To mark the beginning of this collaboration, we recently hosted a morning tea at Harmony HQ, where we were joined by Nicolle Edwards, CEO of RizeUp, to discuss how we can work together to create lasting change. At Harmony, we are deeply committed to creating environments where children and families feel supported, valued, and safe. Supporting this initiative is a natural extension of our dedication to providing security, stability, and care for children—both within our centres and beyond. A heartfelt thank you to Gabrielle Giufre, Founder & Managing Director of Harmony, for championing this partnership, and Tiana Tait who is driving this important initiative as part of our Harmony in the Community strategy. We’re excited to take the next steps and will soon share ways our team, families, and community can get involved.
