Using natural manure additives can be a great solution for farmers who want to improve the health of their animals and employees while reducing their environmental impact. Natural manure additives introduce microbes that, when successfully inoculated, produce less gasses like ammonia. This results in a healthier environment for both animals and workers. Treatments like this are specifically designed for bovine deep pits to improve storage capacity and reduce sludge, crusting, foaming, and odor. Wondering about the essential elements for cultivating healthy plants? 1. Water 2. Sunlight 3. Nutrients (such as fertilizer) 4. Adequate root-zone air circulation 5. Optimal temperatures (50-105°F or 10-35°C) Did you know you can grow plants without soil? Hydroponic systems or air-based methods work wonders. Traditional topsoil, while common, comes with drawbacks: it's costly, labor-intensive, and its quality can be unpredictable. For a smarter approach, consider biotic soil amendments. They enrich existing soil, nurturing a healthier environment for your plants while reducing environmental impact. Want to learn more about Biotic Earth? The rove beetle is a valuable ally in sugarcane cultivation, serving as a natural predator to various pests such as aphids, whiteflies, and scale insects. By preying on these harmful insects, rove beetles reduce the need for pesticides, promoting a more sustainable and eco-friendly approach to sugarcane production. Additionally, rove beetles contribute to pollination and decomposition processes, further enhancing sugarcane yields and soil health. By conserving rove beetle populations, sugarcane farmers can harness their benefits and create a more resilient and balanced ecosystem. #Rove_Beetle

Why import topsoil? Traditionally, revegetation and erosion control work after construction and/or excavation starts by properly preparing the ground. Unfortunately, all too many revegetation and erosion control attempts fail due to not enough onsite soils being salvageable and/or are deficient in organic matter and biological activity caused by the construction and/or excavation process. Therefore, it is deemed necessary to import and spread topsoil before revegetation and erosion control can take place. However, the costs for the transportation and labour associated with importing topsoil could be cost prohibitive. Never mind the risk for potentially introducing undesirable plant seeds, pathogens, chemicals, and the possibly heavy metals. Consequently, if no topsoil is imported then revegetation and erosion control seeding takes place on poor quality soil for marginal results. This in turn requires the use of more expensive, longer lasting erosion control materials to control erosion until/if vegetation establishes. Is there a more logical and economical solution for revegetation and erosion control after construction and/or excavation? The answer is yes. Biotic Soil Medias’.

Irish Sphagnum Peat Moss 🌱 Acid loving plants prefer a soil pH of about 5.5.🧪 This lower pH enables these plants to absorb the nutrients they need to flourish and grow. Harte Peat Moss is the ideal natural soil conditioner, harvested using a traditional system which retains the natural goodness of high quality Irish Sphagnum Peat Moss.🫐 Excellent growing medium for Proteas and any plants requiring an acidic low ph. Harte Peat Moss eases the problem of sticky soils when mixed thoroughly into the top 10cm layers of soil. Use at a rate of 25 Litres per m². pH: 3.4 - 4.5 von Post Index: 2 - 5 📐Dimensions: 900 x 500 x 370 mm - we fit 440 bales in a 12mt-40′ high cube container, un-palletised.
