It is no secret that over the past year, the sentiment around ESG has become more polarized. In the United States, we’ve seen uncertainty by managers and investors due to pushback in certain states. In our investor survey, we are seeing some ESG fatigue among our respondents. Most investors still would consider turning opportunities for ESG reasons, however, compared to 2022 fewer investors do not see ESG concerns as a deal breaker.
