Water diversion management in mining areas presents a particular challenge. On the other hand, the water diversion program is essential for the effective functioning of all mining operations. Black Cat is taking the next step in our journey from developer to producer by entering into an agreement to commence mining operations at the Kal East Gold Project! Open pit mining is expected to commence as early as June 2024 with gold production expected in September and operations are expected to be ongoing for ~18months. The two open pits contain an aggregate ~52koz Au (Myhree - 46koz @ 2.4g/t Au, Boundary - 6koz @ 1.5g/t Au).

Today, the 5th of February, the 2024 Mining Indaba kicks off in Cape Town.   The global mining industry had a difficult 2023 and locally, we saw announcements of rightsizing and even closures of some shafts.   The future of this important industry cannot be understated. Locally, almost half a million direct jobs come from this industry alone and there are very few industries that are excluded from sub-contracted work in some form from the mining industry.   We look forward to the content of the deliberations and the important resolutions that will come out of this year’s Mining Indaba. #mining #miningindaba #myprogress

Utah moves into first place, bumping former top-ranked Nevada to second place.
