In the spirit of yesterday's celebration of St. Patrick's Day, let's reflect on luck.
Luck, often viewed as an unpredictable force shaping our lives, can sometimes lead us to overlook our own agency. While luck certainly plays a role in life's twists and turns, relying solely on it can limit our potential. Instead, let's embrace the power of ownership.
Taking responsibility for our experiences and actions empowers us to shape our own destinies. When we acknowledge the stories we tell ourselves, we cultivate a mindset of introspect and growth. Rather than leaving things to chance, let's seize the reins of our lives.
Cheers to creating our own rainbow!

The greatest obstacle to a vibrant and energized 4th Quarter is.....
Worry.
Worry about running out of money.
Worry about losing your mental or physical capacities.
Worry about not being able to do the things you enjoy.
Worry. Worry. Worry.
Worry grows from fear. And fear is not a great motive for much of anything except protecting yourself from an alligator chasing you through the streets of your Florida neighborhood.
A Cornell University study followed people over time and found that 85 % of what people worried about never actually happened.
And...of the 15% of worries that ever came to fruition, 79% of the time, people handled those problems better than they thought they would. And they even reported learning something valuable from the experience.
Do the math. There was nothing to worry about 97% of the time.
97% of the stuff we worry about either never happens, or we handle it and possibly learn something along the way.
Bottom line: Only 3% of the time did peoples’ worries prove well-founded.
Worry. Faith/Trust provides the cure for worry.
Jesus said to His disciples, “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat, nor about your body, what you will wear. 23 For life is more than food, and the body more than clothing. 24 Consider the ravens: they neither sow nor reap, they have neither storehouse nor barn, and yet God feeds them. How much more valuable are you than the birds! 25 And can you by worrying add one hour to your life? 26 If then you are not able to do as small a thing as that, why are you anxious about the rest? ... But if God so clothes the grass which is alive in the field today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, how much more will He clothe you, O you of little faith! 29 And do not seek what you are to eat and what you are to drink. And do not worry. 30 For all the nations of the world seek these things, and your Father knows that you need them. 31 But, seek His kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well.

The greatest LEGACY of our leadership or success journey is not the cars, the houses, the estates and trust funds we leave behind and for our children; it's the VALUES we instill in them (and our next generations) and the EXAMPLE we show and immortalize in LIVING those VALUES.
How joyous and exciting to the mind for a Grandpa @realdonaldtrump to see his granddaughter #KaiTrumpjr make that statement, "But I have to remind him I am a Trump too!" Essentially, she's saying, "You know you've built a big name and big legacy of strength, courage, discipline, grit, learning, growth, a success and result-focused mentality and mindset, that I'm so proud of and now patterning my life and future after".
The pinnacle of our leadership and success achievement is what unique legacy we leave behind, begining with our children, the unique principles or philosophies behind our life's success, our companies, businesses, nations or organizations; the positive ideals and values we leave behind that INSPIRES and PROMPTS the next generation!
We pay the Price to build, not just for the money, assets or fame, but the chance (the life's mission) to leave behind a legacy of principles, values and ideas of possibilities that the next generation can be proud of, build on and advance on in their time and hopefully pass on.
Your Dreams may be heavy and tough on you now, but just consider for a second what you'd be leaving behind--what legacy of inner strength, spiritual authenticity, inner freedom/sense of integrity and the sense of possibility mindedness--that you'd be leaving behind and bequeathing to your next and successive generation(s)?!
Yes, you can do it; you can build that edifice, that empire, that global reputation, and leave a really interesting and undeniable LEGACY!

Connection is the most important thing. ESPECIALLY when you’re sure you don’t have time for it.
In the last month, I’ve navigated probably the most intense set of challenges I’ve faced in my adult life. A divorce. A home sale and a home acquisition. A move. A book completion (and design/marketing push). And a very time-sensitive invitation to provide a keynote and workshop to top executive leaders at a global Fortune 500 organization.
To say I’ve been stressed would be a definite understatement. 😂 But the thing that’s kept me from spinning is my ruthless insistence on making time for what you see in this photo. Snuggle time, singing time, magna tile time, science experiment time, and just open/free/whatever time, with my #1 boy—my amazing son, Bennett.
Last night he asked if he could skip his summer camp program today to just hang out with me. I will be honest; the truly endless list of things on my to-do list almost won out. But I decided this morning to say yes. And so, off to the bowling alley we go.
If you are overwhelmed with all the things, or going through a challenge (personal or professional) that you feel is stretching you almost to what you feel you can’t handle…. Stop. Just stop. And fill your heart with the one thing that puts it all into perspective—connection with the one(s) you most love and cherish.

Embracing Life's Rollercoaster Together
Today, I'm stepping away from my usual celebratory updates to share some sad news: the passing of my beloved brother. While I typically highlight successes, I want to remind you that not everyone shares their struggles openly. Life isn't just about triumphs; it's about the trials we face and how we navigate through them.
I share this not seeking sympathy but to remind you that we all encounter struggles, and it's OK not to be OK. And more importantly, it's OK to ask for help. Lean on your faith, loved ones, and inner strength. Remember, "For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow" (James 1:3).
Let's break the silence around life's challenges because life is not a smooth journey; it's a rollercoaster filled with ups and downs. By only highlighting our ups, we inadvertently perpetuate a false narrative, but by acknowledging our struggles, we inspire hope and resilience in others.
To my veteran community, know that you're not alone in your battles; support is always within reach.
Keep going—brighter days are ahead.

5 Life Lessons Chadwick Boseman Teaches Us:
1. Everyone doesn’t deserve backstage access to your life.
2. We all hurt sometimes - even superheroes.
3. The real testament of a superhero is not who you are to the outside world but who you have been to your family at home. Your family always deserves the superhero in you before the world has access to you.
4. Love people in such a way they don’t even notice that you are hurting.
5. Keep your private life private. And only make it public to the people who have proven they care for you and love you beyond the public persona.
