PLACEMENT = fear + anxiety Okay, so I went to the central placement fair of the University of Delhi.    My experience was nothing exceptional. But it was all about sitting in the large auditorium, listening to the announcements, and knowing the results of those who qualified for some on-the-spot test rounds. I was taking in the feel of how actual placements took place in person, and the sort of ANXIETY and SWEAT on your forehead when you're lined up in the queue and next is your turn.    I appear for one English-written test and a couple of interviews.    It was all like you're appearing for every soft skills opportunity as none of your field companies are coming.    It's your turn, and you can't even expect a good package, as you won't be getting one. Meanwhile, this is the placement fair, where SOME companies are offering you an internship with no PPO (pre-placement offer), even paying you less than 5,000.    Now, what do you actually expect?    PS: The perks of graduating during a recession.    even where the companies are coming and setting the eligibility for the 2024 batch, who are already freshers and still expecting to have over 2 years of EXPERIENCE in order to get a qualifying package.    Anyway, it was not that bad at all, but we really had high expectations from the central placement fair, where freshers like us get some chance to prove themselves.    But it wasn't all bad. I'm glad I had the GUTS to go through it, even if some HR people looked at me like I was a MESS. I learned a lot and got more comfortable facing interviews in person.
