As a data 📊 professional 👩💻, you need to have a good PACE ➡️ for every project you work on to make sure you achieve the final goal! Here is what PACE stands for and how you can establish a good one for your project: 1- Plan: At this stage, you have a build a big picture on the project’s goal/s, know the stakeholders, and gather your data (Usually ugly looking data). 2- Analyze: Here you hold the programming hammer and start cleaning, analyzing, visualizing, testing, and all the other fun-free programming techniques needed by your data to breathe. 3- Construct: Here, you look at your data and you fall in love with it ( Now it looks like dreams to you), you start building your models, hypothetical tests, and all result-producing activities. This step requires all data professionals (Machine Learning engineers, Business Intelligence Professionals, and data scientists) to work together. 4- Excute: This step is when you gather the results that you have been dreaming of for nights and share them with the stakeholders. Here, you be a translator between your data and the stakeholders. The stakeholders probably don’t know (and don’t care) what P-value > 0.05 is, or R-square is 0.93, or MAPE = 0.7%. This is where you shine!

💹📊100Days of Data Analysis Learning Challenge Day 11: Subqueries Got Me Brainstorming! Today, I conquered subqueries in the select, from, and where statements of SQL! Woohoo! 🎉💐 This 100-day challenge is definitely living up to its name. My eagerness to learn had me sprinting at the beginning, and now I'm already counting down the days until this amazing journey ends. The reason I didn't dwell on the number of days? Simple: to avoid procrastination's sneaky tactics. Let's face it, procrastination has robbed me of achieving so many things in the past. Sometimes, my limitations even become excuses to put things off. ♂️💯 But this time, I got strategic. This year's motto, "NO GREE FOR ANYBODY" (meaning "don't give up on your goals"), is ringing in my ears. I'm committed to finishing what I started, one accomplishment a day. Today officially wraps up my SQL learning within this challenge. Now, I'm excited to explore ways to make the upcoming projects under this section a total success. Stay tuned! 😄 To anyone who, like me, has procrastinated to the point of forgetting dreams that once fueled their passion... those dreams that sparked late-night brainstorming and brought smiles just thinking about them. My journey into the world of data science began with a deep interest in understanding the stories hidden behind the data. However, I realized that to achieve these goals, I needed to understand the tools and technology used in this industry. In the second week of learning data science at @digitalskola I learned about SQL and Version Control Systems. SQL is a programming language for storing and processing information in relational databases. With SQL, I can extract, manipulate and analyze data in an efficient and structured way. This helped me build a strong understanding of how data works and how we can use it to make better decisions. Additionally, I learned about the Version Control System (VCS), which records changes to files over time, allowing users to track and manage source code evolution. Git & GitHub as my VCS tools. With VCS, I was able to find out how to work on data projects effectively in a team. From learning SQL and VCS, I gained a deeper understanding of database creation, data analysis, and collaboration in team projects using Git & GitHub. The journey to becoming a data scientist is more than just mastering technical skills—it’s about developing essential soft skills. One of the most valuable things I’ve learned is the art of asking questions. In the past, many of us may have been discouraged from asking questions, but I’ve come to realize that questions are key to growth. One of my biggest influences, Peter Okwukogu, constantly emphasizes this and has shown me that asking is a skill we can improve over time. The more we ask, the more we understand, and the more we can push ourselves forward. I’ve also honed my problem-solving abilities, which are central to data science. Every project brings its own challenges, whether it’s cleaning messy and inconsistent data or troubleshooting a stubborn machine learning model. Problem-solving, I’ve learned, is not about being quick to fix things but about staying calm and breaking down the issue logically. It’s taught me resilience, and that feeling of indescribable satisfaction when a solution finally clicks is always worth the effort. What’s great is that these skills aren’t just for data science—they’re transferable to all areas of life. Asking the right questions and tackling problems logically are invaluable no matter where or what you're doing. These soft skills have helped me navigate challenges in work and life, and they remind me that data science isn’t just about the code we write—it’s about how we think, communicate, and solve meaningful problems that impact the world around us.
