Another wonderful discovery that is worth sharing... and it's not about the idea, but about the execution. Read through - it's extraordinary. 💡 A company-wide online coffee break 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗲 𝗱𝗮𝘆. Obviously, the idea itself is not worth highlighting or even particularly innovative. It's something lots of managers tried during the pandemic. But who stuck with it since 2020? Seeing each other once a day, regardless of where you work, is so important to Managing Director Timur Uzunoglu that he has even included the 15-minute paid break in the employment contracts of his company convex ZT GmbH. This is definitely the first extraordinary aspect. Everyone is there - every single day! The second aspect worth highlighting is Timur's dedication: "The daily online-coffee breaks at convex can make one addicted to it: every day, there is something new to discuss: from galactic flights to robo dogs, from famous painters to number one bestseller books, from building in mediavel times to clone: it's ground breaking innovations... And not to forget: the programme "in 206 coffeebreaks travelling the globe", showing the highlights of countries in photos and movies, one per day... online coffee break with convex is a MUST" Timur has now hosted and moderated over 1,000 coffee breaks! 🤯 Most of them recorded in a diary: https://lnkd.in/dkj8GNGS (GERMAN) All respect dear Timur - great initiative to bring people together on a daily basis. 👏👏 #teambuilding #coffeebreak

If hosts with under 5 units make up 90% of all short term rental supply, why do we rarely see them on the industry's most important conference stages? 🙈 Why is every conversation about small hosts and #rentalpreneurs focused on "professionalization", even though small hosts have better guest satisfaction scores than professional managers 🙊 How do we expect the STR industry to grow and succeed when those with power, capital and access (tech companies, institutional investors, OTAs, trade associations) often ignore the voices and needs of hosts - the industry's largest segment....and prioritize pros - it's smallest segment? 🙉 If you couldn't tell, I'm fired up for my Skift talk tomorrow on 'The Challenges Small Hosts Face'.
