It's time for this week's STEAM Challenge in our Are You Fitter than a Fifth Grader virtual event! If you have not signed up already, join our event at https://lnkd.in/ev3rxMjs. Sign up today and complete this project from our afterschool program for points. BUILD A GALAXY: Materials: Coffee filters (2-6, and for best results, press them flat before using); Large sheet of black construction paper; Colored markers (at least 3 bright colors - these should be water-soluble, not permanent markers. You want the colors to run together!); water; eye dropper or drinking straw; scissors; glue stick Instructions: 1. Using the markers, draw colorful designs on the filters. You could draw stars, planets, moons, and comets if you like. After all, these are all objects that make up galaxies! 2. Use the straw or eyedropper to dribble a few drops of water on the filters - make sure to do this on a plate or plastic to avoid making a mess! The water will make the colors run together in lovely ways. 3. Let the filters dry. When the filters are dry, cut them into galaxy shapes. 4. Arrange your galaxies on the sheet of black construction paper and glue them down with the glue stick. 5. Display your galaxy montage where your friends and family can admire it! What shapes did you make? Galaxies come in many different shapes and sizes - spiral, elliptical, irregular... Post your galaxies for us to see!

Hey Space4All Are you a non-profit, trade association, NGO, Lobbying firm, company, or just some Washington DC ad hoc thing? You ask for donations. There is no way to get media releases. No explanation of who is in charge of this thing. I.e Lots of glitz but no transparency. What good is an outreach effort if theres no actual attempt outreach especially to media who can amplify?
