It's time to incorporate an AI policy into your Data Processing Agreement, and you'll likely need a new title alongside your Data Privacy Officer. If you are utilizing large language models (LLMs), the responsibility for their proper deployment may rest on you, regardless of the actions taken by the LLM suppliers. For some organizations and startups, this could be the legal framework they needed to finally begin operations without fearing regulatory obstacles down the line. However, this framework might also prompt a mass exodus to countries that have not yet established strict regulations.
