Chasing Success: the Challenge for Nonprofits calls for improved collaboration among nonprofit programs and for strengthened community systems, including more cooperative thinking and action not only among those funding and implementing programs but also among those setting policy, conducting research and engaging communities as partners in change. Today, far too often, nonprofit programs compete for resources and visibility--- without a focus on cooperation and the funding to sustain collaboration, there could be good programs but not the centrality to take what has been learned, scale the initiative and serve more people---with quality and validated outcomes. Interdisciplinary partners could include, for example, business schools, community leaders, political scientists and housing experts based upon the problem that the organization is trying to solve--the content of the work will provide guidance.

Love this update. Please take advisory councils seriously. They are not: 💀 The final resting place of board members who should otherwise step down 😣 A "pipeline" for "young" "diverse" "wealthy" or other profile of a person that you should probably work to better clarify and just recruit and retain on the board. 💸 An "easy" way to fundraise. Advisory councils MAY do some of the above, but whatever your intention with creating one, it requires time, talent, and resources. Treat it accordingly.

What makes the Nursey Foundation unique? At The Nursey Foundation, we recognize that many nonprofits possess incredible missions but lack the resources, knowledge, and support necessary to maintain sustainability and long-term success. Identifying this gap in the market for nonprofit support, we have made it a cornerstone of our outreach mission to give back to the community. Our Growth Optimization (GO) Program exemplifies this commitment, offering financial support and strategic guidance through strategy sessions to other nonprofits at no cost. One of the key pillars of our GO Program is to provide invaluable guidance from our four experienced founders, who offer their extensive expertise without a fee. This support enables nonprofits to operate more effectively, focusing less on day-to-day operations, growth, and finances, and more on fulfilling their mission. By bridging this gap, we empower nonprofits to thrive and make a more significant impact in their communities, amplifying the collective efforts towards positive social change.
