We recently held a wellbeing day at Moonacre, who kindly offered their beautiful grounds for free. It was a day of yoga, meditation, sound bowls, nature walks, and complementary therapy with Julia's House therapist Kirsty.
Special thanks to Isvara Wellbeing for leading yoga, meditation and sound baths, and @ashley_councellor_coach for the calming nature walk, we truly appreciate them both donating their time at no cost. Moonacre even let us plant a tree sapling with a Julia's House plaque!
Our parents left feeling relaxed and rejuvenated.

I guess I was wrong.
For years, I never thought I would be 'good enough' for Insight Timer to publish my meditation audios. And then I just got over the hump and did it.
Then I moved on to thinking I would never be 'good enough' to have a meditation published in their Premium section. I was wrong there too. Today I am celebrating my second release on Insight Timer Plus. Rebirth: a Yoga Nidra for Imbolc.

What helped me to get over this hump? To talk specifically about my relationship with my little corner of the world and not think I have to make my content generic for a world audience. Basically to have faith in doing it my way which is rooted in nature and seasonal connection.

Rest it’s really important for our health & wellbeing, for effective function & being able to thrive.
There are times of year we need more rest & for other reasons like when recovering from an acute infection or injury & when living with persistent or long-term conditions including long covid, ME/CFS, fibromyalgia & persistent pain in general.
Would you like to explore & nurture rest? There are a few spaces left on my online embodied rest workshop on Friday 9th Feb 10.30-12. This workshop is being offered on a donations basis (free if needed), it’s usually £25 and it’s suggested people pay what they can.
In the workshop we explore & nurture rest through reflections, gentle yoga & a yoga nidra practice (a form of meditation that offers deep rest & restoration). People who attend will get access to a recording of the yoga nidra I created for this workshop on my non-public YouTube as a gift.

I am also going to be running a part two of the embodied rest workshop, you don’t have to have attended part one to attend this. Thanksgiving Gratitude for Peace - Yoga with Meditation Mutha
The holidays are a great reminder that we have so much to be grateful for in our lives. Abundance flows to us in so many different forms to include healthy relationships with friends and family, access to resources like nutritious food and clean water, mental, physical and spiritual health and financial security are to name just a few.
One thing we often take for granted is the gift of having safety and security for ourselves and our families. Many of us have the opportunity to live in an area with peaceful conditions. As we have witnessed with war-torn countries, this is not always the case for many people around the world. We are very fortunate to exist in our daily lives free from the dangers of war. Living in peace is a huge form of abundance.

I hadn’t advertised the workshop until yesterday because it was full, yesterday two spaces had to be cancelled and one of these is still available, would you like it?
In the workshop we are exploring and nurturing rest through reflection, gentle yoga and yuga nidra (a form of meditation that offers deep rest, restoration and relaxation). All attendees get access to a recording of the yoga nidra on the non-public part of my YouTube.
I ran this workshop a week ago, everyone loved it and really benefited. I loved guiding the exploration and nurturing of rest and received wonderful feedback.
I’m considering running a part two of this embodied rest workshop soon. You don’t have to have attended part one to attend it, though it could be helpful if you have as we will be reflecting on rest differently and it will build on previous reflections. If this is of interest let me know.

Sharing something I wrote for my yoga studio where I facilitated a ‘Breathwork Evolution’ Healing Workshop this past weekend.
I began to tell myself that it wasn’t aligned to LinkedIn but then readjusted because professionals are human beings🌱
If you’re moving through a hard time, remember that healing isn’t for other people; it’s for ALL people:
“I heal to make space for the gifts of life ahead of me.
I heal to forgive myself for the ways I showed up that were rooted in my wounds.
I heal to forgive others who’s unhealed hurt, hurt me.
I heal to reassure my little self that I’m okay and that they were, in fact, enough.
