With the #WebSummit approaching, I wanted to share some thoughts on key topics that could drive meaningful conversation and insight at this year’s event. Given the rapid advancements in #AI, particularly #GenAI, there’s an undeniable opportunity to highlight how these technologies are reshaping #productivity and #enhancing human potential across industries. AI and GenAI are no longer just tools, they’re becoming integral, assistive technologies that can amplify human capabilities in a way we've never seen before. The potential for AI to streamline processes, improve accuracy, and support creativity is already visible, but the horizon holds even more. At the Summit, it would be exciting to see discussions on how these technologies will be leveraged for transformative solutions in fields like #healthcare, #education, #energytransition and #urbanplanning, ultimately speeding up problem-solving across sectors. Another pivotal consideration, as we expand AI's applications, is #energy. Brijlall                            ( WSIB ) ANTISEMITISM, HATRED, AND RASESS;         After a workplace accident, WSIB put me through hell and made my injuries twice as worse   permanently then robbed me of my benefits just because of the colour of my skin. Sandra Di Carlo the case manager took me out from physio therapy that was helping me with my recovery and sent me to wsib Doctor and physio therapy that made my injuries twice as worse permanently. Deb Remekie, The lady at WSIB that robbed me of my benefit, she said that I can sell jewelry, she thinks because I am black I can steal jewelry and sell, so she decided to rob me of my benefit. And it's not a joke she said it verbally and in writing. And believed it or not the APPEALS TRIBUNAL agreed with her without a doubt or any question Atal. The Tribunal did not look at my file, apparently they don't even care to look at my file. The Board is an independent decision-making body that functions at arm’s length from the government. Response from the Deputy Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development The ministry is responsible for the legislative framework for workplace safety and insurance in Ontario. The WSIB is an independent organization that operates at arm’s length from the ministry and oversees the administration of workplace safety and insurance benefits and services. As a result, the Minister  and ministry staff cannot comment on or get involved in individual case NOT EVEN THE FAIR PRACTICE COMMISSIONER WILL INTERVENE.

Reminds me of conversations that I have with clients. We do an audit of how they are and we look at: 👍 😐 👎 How are they are on a 1-10 💤 How their sleep has been 🥗 How's their eating been ☕ Have they been main-lining caffeine to get through 🚶♂️ Have they been getting out for a regular walk or exercise 🎧 📖 What have they been learning about recently 🕺 ⚽ 😄 How have they been switching off 💞 Have they spent much quality time with loved ones 🍻 How's the alcohol consumption been So, how have you answered these? The answers to these questions give us both an insight to how they are handling the pressures of their role. A negative for any of these can impact their ability to do their job, to make good judgments, and have the energy to lead. If we can get these foundations right then it makes leading so much easier. The great news is that many of these things are all under our control. Spotting the levers that they can pull along with a bit of gentle nudging (or a shoulder barge as one of my clients called it) from me enables them to quickly see the impact in the way they lead. This is a case where the participant actually identified an issue and called to resolve it. In reality, we would have flagged this claim and caught the card transaction issue because OCA substantiates 100% of all transactions (as required by code). This is a great example of why employers should use a TPA that follows the law. Doing so, protects the employer and the participant, not the TPA (the Employer is the one legally responsible) in the event of a Plan audit. Given the fact that audits are rare, this example simply highlights the fact that health debit cards don't stop "bad" claims from going though the system. Good TPAs and solid processes are what brokers and employers should be looking for. Without them, employers end up paying substantially more in claims that they will never be aware of because of HIPAA and privacy rules. How much more does it cost in claims?
