Happy to share that on 24 November I will present "Make Tomorrow Work: a taxonomy of futureproofing" during the WAOP conference at the University of Groningen. (Block 2/leadership styles and topics) In this presentation I will highlight how we can become more resilient by integrating knowledge from, and collaborating between various research fields. Will you be there to discuss this topic? Input during or after the presentation will be highly appreciated. After all, that's what collaboration is about. Special thanks to Bas Karsten Timo Mascini India Boerma Yannick Zwiep Wahad Yousuf Jagoba Suso Ruiz de Oña Elena Petrunina Rosalie van Berckel Sven Dalinghaus Why? ➡️ Last year Wendelien Van Eerde, me and above mentioned students of the University of Amsterdam - Amsterdam Business School collaborated to disentangle the concept of futureproofing. We gave the students complete freedom in choosing their thesis topic and approach as long as they could explain why it was relevant to the future of work. We trusted the process and were very curious what would happen. We were delighted what they came up with. Some were trying to find out if and how future orientated leadership styles are different from other leadership styles. Others researched actual futureproofing practices of leaders in various Dutch organisations. We had a lot of fun supervising them and they all graduated. Well, almost all 😇 The resulting collection of research findings was very helpful to scope the next phase of my PhD research - which will be presented on the 24th. See you there! #futureofwork #futurize #futureproofing #responsibleleadership #resilience
