Promoting Maldives, the Duty: Attention to Interaction through Social Media
Introduction
Maldives, the most beautiful country on Earth is already increasing the inflow of tourists annually. However, in order to keep boasting these figures as well as to enable the visitors to feel more deeply attached to the country, one needs to create a strong presence on the heart of the web, which today is the internet. There is, however, a very large void in MMPRC’s marketing strategy. It concerns a lack of social media engagement and response team. The result of this lapse includes absence of feedback and comments in the Visit Maldives social network pages.
The Importance of Social Media Engagement
The role of social media and its channels is growing tremendously these days. Thus, businesses, no matter what industry they are in, need to target their audiences through social media. Destinations such as the Maldives, for instance, the social media engagement and activity is especially important for the following purposes:
Brand Loyalty Enhancement. Interacting with visitors via social network channels is important in establishing a circle and making people loyal.
Understanding Audience Better. Organizations understand the target audience by their comments and reactions and thus know the expectations, problems and needs of the visitors.
Improving RM. Poorly managed social media has a major impact such as this post where you see no one is even dropping a comment so far making its impact less in terms of how social media network algorithms are designed to reach a wider audience.
