𝐄𝐖𝐌 𝐑𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐖𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐓𝐚𝐬𝐤 𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐲 -> 𝐑𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐚 𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐞 𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭 𝐕𝐒 𝐑𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐚 𝐦𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐚 𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭 There are multiple ways to configure the rounding of WT quantity to suit your needs. Here are the different rounding mechanisms you can choose from: ● 𝐑𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐚 𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐞 𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭: This option allows you to round down the WT quantity to the nearest whole unit. ● 𝐑𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐚 𝐦𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐚 𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭: With this setting, you can specify a specific unit and round down the WT quantity to the nearest multiple of that unit. ● 𝐑𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐮𝐩 𝐭𝐨 𝐚 𝐦𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐚 𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭: This mechanism enables you to round up the WT quantity to the nearest multiple of a specified unit. ● 𝐄𝐱𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 “𝐑𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐚 𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐞 𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭” If a request now exists with a quantity of 10, the rounding logic would round the WT quantity down to 1. The system would create 10 WTs, each with a quantity of 1, instead of one WT with a quantity of 10. ● 𝐄𝐱𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 “𝐑𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐚 𝐦𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐚 𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭” In this case, only one WT was created with 5 EA (depending upon the qty mention in packing specification level 1). The system did the round down to a pallet quantity and created a task. Hi SAP Aspirants, Greetings for the Day! For more valuable SAP notes and tutorial video free of cost you can join my telegram group-https://lnkd.in/gmTz-X3k In SAP MM, materials planners often face challenges when one or more suppliers fail to meet material demands, which can cause production delays. To mitigate this, Quota Arrangements allow planners to allocate material demand across multiple suppliers, ensuring a balanced supply chain and reducing the risk of disruptions. What is a Quota Arrangement in SAP MM? A Quota Arrangement in SAP MM allows the distribution of a material’s demand to different suppliers based on predefined percentages or quotas. This mechanism helps to manage supplier risks, balance workloads, and ensure a steady material supply for production. Steps to Create a Quota Arrangement Step 1: Create Material Master Record (MM01) Start by creating a material master using transaction MM01. This is the foundational data for any material you wish to procure. Step 2: Create Vendor Master Record (BP) Next, create a vendor master record for each supplier using transaction BP. This links your suppliers to your materials. Step 3: Create Purchase Info Record (PIR) Use transaction ME11 to create the Purchase Info Record (PIR) for each vendor-material combination. This includes pricing and delivery terms. Step 4: Create Source List (ME01) With transaction ME01, create a source list that defines the approved vendors for each material. This helps the system to know which suppliers are eligible for material procurement. Step 5: Create Quota Arrangement (MEQ1) Finally, create the quota arrangement using transaction MEQ1. Define the percentage quotas for each vendor (e.g., 50% for Vendor A, 50% for Vendor B). SAP will automatically allocate orders based on these quotas. Benefits of Quota Arrangements Risk Mitigation: Reduces reliance on a single supplier and ensures material availability. Efficient Procurement: Automatically allocates materials based on predefined quotas, streamlining procurement. Improved Supplier Management: Balances orders among multiple suppliers, promoting long-term relationships. Conclusion Quota arrangements in SAP MM are a powerful tool for managing multiple suppliers and ensuring steady material flow. Good luck with your SAP learning journey! #SAP #Quotaarrangement #FinancialExcellence #OperationalEfficiency #BusinessStrategy #DataDrivenInsights #SAPMM #SAPFICO #SAPMM-FICO Er.Prashant Ugale Daniel MateoRuthvik ChowdaryRana W.
