🔍 Sharing Knowledge: Pricing Procedure in SAP S/4HANA MM - The Ultimate Guide 🔍 Hello #SAPCommunity! 👋 As organizations transition to SAP S/4HANA, understanding pricing procedures becomes crucial. In this comprehensive guide, I’ll walk you through the essentials of pricing procedures in the Materials Management (MM) module, highlighting key changes from ECC to S/4HANA. Purpose of Pricing Procedure: The pricing procedure is a combination of various charges, including gross price, freight, discounts, surcharges, and GST. It determines how these charges are calculated during procurement and sales processes . Key Steps for Pricing Procedure Configuration (End-to-End): 1) Set Calculation Schema: Navigate to SPRO > IMG > Materials Management > Purchasing > Conditions > Define Price Determination Process > Set Calculation Schema - Purchasing. Create your own pricing procedure based on the standard one (e.g., “RM0000”). Customize it to meet your business requirements. 2) Define Condition Types: Access SPRO > IMG > Materials Management > Purchasing > Conditions > Define Price Determination Process > Define Condition Types > Set Pricing Condition Types - Purchasing. Add condition types (e.g., SGST and CGST) to your pricing procedure. You can copy from existing types or create new ones. 3) Schema Groups for Suppliers and Purchasing Organizations: Define schema groups for suppliers and purchasing organizations. Assign these groups to relevant entities using SPRO. 4) Determine Calculation Schema for Standard Purchase Orders: Specify the calculation schema for standard purchase orders. Link it to your customized pricing procedure. 5) Maintain Condition Tables, Access Sequences, and Condition Records: Set up condition tables, access sequences, and maintain condition records. These define how system fetches pricing information during transactions. -->Changes from ECC to S/4HANA MM: Extension of Data Elements and Fields: More flexibility in pricing procedure determination. Increased number of customer condition tables. Enhanced access sequences (from 99 to 999). Condition Table Key Length: Condition table keys (A Tables) can now be up to 255 characters long (previously 100).
