Airbus Tests Hydrogen-Fueled Glider in Blue Condor Campaign. Image: Blue Condor A800-H2 turbojet Credit: Guy Norris/AWST Airbus has initiated its Blue Condor flight test campaign to study hydrogen's impact on contrail formation. The project uses the Arcus-J, a modified glider powered by a hydrogen-fueled turbojet, to explore how hydrogen propulsion can reduce aviation emissions and environmental impact. https://lnkd.in/d6Sy6wuP As part of Airbus' broader mission to achieve zero-emission aviation by 2035, the campaign focuses on the relationship between hydrogen-powered flight and contrail formation, aiming to inform future aircraft designs and sustainability strategies. https://lnkd.in/dK-6wXti
Is it a blue or a black condor? H2 in aviation means zero CO2 emissions but means also injecting 100% water vapor, a gas which greenhouse effec is much larger than that of CO2, in the high troposphere layers where it unlike CO2 being ligher than air will stay longer periods.!! H2 use for fuelcells+eletrofans could be partialy justified but not for ICEs.

thanks for share Julio Wilder ; pierre jacquet francillonAirbus will wait for the magic in sky when thousands of H2 planes flies in formation on #sunsets we want to see how the spectrum of sun light splits.... will it be possible for your team to generate a image simulations by newyear... thanks for listening! pierre jacquet francillon #seasonsGreetingsToall! thanks for time! #zariyaFutureTech
... impressive...
It says turbojet. Why not turbofan? Turbofans are much fuel efficient. Aldo how will the hydrogen be stored pressured gas or liquid form?

3mo100% Hydrogen works perfectly in a Brayton cycle engine. Here's mine I built 9 years ago. And it still runs perfectly today! This baby screams like a rocket engine at 133,000 and no emissions! (Ear protectors required)
