I am thrilled to share that our manuscript has been published in the Journal of Intervention Epidemiology and Public Health (JIEPH). This study's findings can greatly enhance the overall health of the study area community and the entire country by presenting novel information regarding the magnitude and trends of tuberculosis (TB). This valuable data can aid in the development of effective strategies and interventions to combat TB and ultimately improve the well-being of individuals within these populations. https://lnkd.in/d8ctKxzD

Exciting news: Versus Arthritis’ new approach to Team Science is ready for applications. Some #research questions are too big to be answered alone. That’s why Versus Arthritis is investing in our new Research Consortia. We have launched the first two Research Consortia for applications. With up to £3 million being invested in each Consortium we are looking for applications from teams of great scientists to unlock key research problems. We want a future where people with inflammatory arthritis have access to more personalised and effective treatments. That is why one of the Research Consortium will support high quality, innovative research into inflammatory arthritis. We need to better understand the causes and risk factors for arthritis to improve treatment options. This is why our other Research Consortium will accelerate clinical epidemiology research If you think you and your team hold the key to unlocking research problems in inflammatory arthritis or clinical epidemiology, then click here: https://lnkd.in/eE7AFby

Dear Colleagues, I wanted to share a recent publication in Medical Science Monitor that provides a comprehensive review of IgA vasculitis, also known as Henoch-Schönlein purpura. This systemic hypersensitivity vasculitis affects small blood vessels, including the renal glomeruli and mesangium. The article explores this condition's history, classification, epidemiology, presentation, and diagnosis. It also discusses disease associations, trigger factors, and potential future approaches for improved diagnosis and management. If you're interested in expanding your knowledge on IgA vasculitis and nephropathy, this report offers valuable insights. The complete report is now available on the Medical Science Monitor webpage. | https://lnkd.in/dgwtynHT

Our recent study, presented at the 25th National Annual Congress & 11th International Annual Congress on Research and Technology of Iranian Medical Sciences Students, investigated the epidemiology, demographics, and clinical manifestations of acute gastroenteritis among hospitalized patients in Kashan, Iran. Our findings revealed a higher prevalence of non-inflammatory gastroenteritis compared to inflammatory cases. Furthermore, we emphasize the critical role of stool examinations in accurately diagnosing gastroenteritis and guiding appropriate antibiotic therapy. These results underscore the necessity of judicious antibiotic use and routine stool testing for optimal management of this common condition. #gastroenteritis #antibiotictherapy #stoolexam #research #healthcare #kashan

I'm thrilled to share our publication of fifth validation paper, which delves into the coding validity of glaucoma in Taiwan's claim data. This study has found its home in the journal, Clinical Epidemiology. https://lnkd.in/gYxUCbW4 Our research provides invaluable insights into the accuracy of ICD-9-CM and ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes for identifying diseases within Taiwan's claims data. It represents a significant step forward in enhancing our understanding of the accuracy of study populations or outcomes when using these diagnosis codes in secondary database research. For those with a keen interest in the reliability and application of diagnosis codes in database research, this paper and our related publications offer a wealth of knowledge.
