Maximizing the End-of-Life Value of Mattresses At Junk Rescue Pinellas, we are frequently asked, "How can I donate my used mattress?" While donation is a commendable goal, traditional options like Goodwill or Salvation Army often have limitations on mattress condition. Additionally, many junk removal services may not possess the resources for true mattress repurposing. Here's the good news: Up to 90% of mattresses and box springs can be diverted from landfills through responsible recycling. The various components, including wool, foam, cotton, and steel, all hold value. Fabric can be baled and sold for applications like carpet padding, while steel gets compressed for recycling. Wood from box springs can even be transformed into OSB (oriented strand board). Junk Rescue Pinellas is committed to achieving a 100% repurposing rate for discarded mattresses and box springs. By partnering with responsible recycling facilities, we ensure these materials get a second life, minimizing environmental impact and maximizing resource recovery. #donation #recycling #management #smallbusiness #wastemanagement #mattress https://lnkd.in/eZ99S22w

🏡 Ready to clear the clutter and make room for what matters? ✨ Our simple 4-step purge process is here to help you streamline your space. 1️⃣ Sort: Go through each room and sort your items into four categories: Keep, Donate, Sell, and Trash. Be honest about what you really need and use. 2️⃣ Donate: Take the items you've decided to donate to local charities, shelters, or thrift stores. Many organizations even offer pick-up services for larger donations. 3️⃣ Sell: List valuable items online or hold a garage sale. This is a great way to make some extra cash while decluttering. 4️⃣ Trash: Properly dispose of items that are broken or no longer usable. Check for local recycling options for electronics and hazardous materials. Following this process will not only make your home feel lighter and more organized but also prepare it for the market or simply for more joyful living. Ready to start your purge? Let’s get decluttering! 🧹✨ #Declutter #PurgeProcess #HomeOrganization #StratfordAndCo #SortDonateSellTrash #CleanSpace #HomePrep 📸 @workplaybranding

There are so many things to decide on in our lives already that often, decisions on what to do with your clutter buildup get postponed. Perhaps you need to talk to a family member before you can decide or you need a chunk of time to tackle more at once. You might be too tired after a busy day at work or with the kids or volunteering that these decisions are not even on your radar. Yet your clutter keeps building because every time we bring in more than we take out our accumulation builds. So my suggestion is to put it in or on your calendar at least once a month for a few hours to sort through the piles and see what can be recycled or donated or tossed. Always keep a clear bag going in a closet for clothes you don't need anymore. Keep a box in a spot where you can see it to add donations into on a consistent basis and when it is full then donate it and start another one. When you finish a book or a puzzle or you see decor you no longer love, add it to the box. CD's you won't listen to or DVD's you won't watch or games you won't play can all be good additions to donate. Are you consistently decluttering or rather doing it in chunks or not doing it at all. Here is your message to begin. #decluttering #hamont #burlington #oakville #professionalorganizersincanada #clutterreliefservices

Ride report on the Horribly Hilly Hundreds 94 miles, 8,100 feet elevation gain, 3700 Calories burned. 7 hours riding time. Goals achieved: 1) 150 km completed. I skipped 10 miles of the route including 3 climbs. So I did not do their full '150' which was 104 miles (167 km). My initial goal was 100 km, so riding the longer route and completing 150 km was win for me. 2) I did not walk up any of the climbs. I did have to stop and take a few 2-3 minute breathers on the steepest parts of the last two climbs. These were at about 15%. A very difficult finish. 3) This was the biggest elevation gain ride I have done in 15 years. Notes: 1) The 33 x 36 gear was sufficient, but several times I was shifting and hoping for the 44 tooth cog that I did not have. My guess is that no matter what gear I had, I would have always wanted one bigger. 2) Modern technology was very important for me on this ride. I really needed it to gauge my effort, manage my pace, and know to back off on some early climbs to save my legs for the later hills. If you've read this far, thank you. Please consider donating to my Bike MS fundraiser for Multiple Sclerosis. That happens this coming weekend. My legs should recover by then: https://lnkd.in/gPvFc5YD
The picture is of the rear cassette I will be using for this Saturday's ride. The Horribly Hilly Hundreds is an annual fundraiser for the Friends of Blue Mound State Park. I first did this ride 15 years ago because someone thought it would be 'fun' to design a ride in Wisconsin with 10,000 feet of climbing in 100 miles (it took 104). The hills are short but steep. Coming from a flat part of the state, these will be much more challenging than my local Mt Overpass. Thus the pie plate sized rear cassette cog. The ride design has changed in recent years and there are rides of 100, 150, and 200 km. Me? I'll be happy to finish the 150. While not a training ride for Bike MS Tour de Farms, it's how I decided to spend my 'free' weekend before it. Still on the fence about riding or donating? It's not too late to join or donate: https://lnkd.in/gPvFc5YD

Hey there, Sunshine Squad! 🌞✨ Happy Saturday, Besties! We know summer has us all dreaming about beaches and cookouts, and maybe organization has taken a back seat. But remember, a little effort each day goes a long way! 🌊🍔 Before you head out to soak up the sun, why not take on a 10-minute declutter challenge? 🕒💪 Here’s a quick and easy plan to get you started: 1. Pick a Spot: Choose a small area like your desk, a kitchen drawer, or your bedside table. 2. Set a Timer: 10 minutes is all you need! 3. Sort and Toss: Quickly sort items into three piles - Keep, Donate, and Trash. 4. Organize: Put the "Keep" items back neatly.
