Taking a refreshingly grassroots approach, we’ve skipped big digital campaigns in favour of old school local area marketing, printed posters, swing tags, direct connections with businesses, and real face-to-face conversations. And we’re thrilled to announce we’ve secured our first volunteer Ride Leader! Even a rider from a regular morning bunch ride asked whether Neighbourly Ride was being run by Bunchrides, a testament to how strong brand values are communicated through everything you do. We’re proud to see participants embracing our community platform, Bunchrides, by completing the multi-step registration and RSVP process, it shows the power of community and a genuine desire to connect in real life. Our mission is simple: to help people who ride (or are curious about riding) form meaningful, real life connections in their local communities. What do penalty shoot outs have in common with angels? End of year Christmas Quiz questions perhaps? Nope - Regular readers of my posts/links will have noticed some pretty unusual topics linked to #YoungVoicesHeard website - ranging from 'All you need to know about penalty shootouts' to 'Searching for the Angel who held me on Westminster Bridge!" and you may have thought I was taking #YouthVoice reporting in a completely new direction - but when you noticed some blogs were in other languages I started to get some curious feedback. No - these weren't written or even signposted by me - but were the result of exploring a new format/templates for a refreshed Youth Voices Heard magazine/news platform. A Wordpress Template' demo auto-downloaded sample articles to my existing website which promptly auto-posted them! The actual plan is to relaunch the YVH Platform and associated social media as part of my original vision when I launched the YVH campaign/consultancy eight years ago. Im calling it #YouthVoiceNow (working title) for https://lnkd.in/dNjmCeW ) which will continue reporting and reflecting on developments in the 'youth voice, participation, representation and influence sector'. The new YVH will be hosted by a CIC company and will aim to recruit a range of guest and regular contributors. I'm keeping and expanding the popular Resource section to include more historical archives like the section with former public docs from #BritishYouthCouncil & #UKYP. Whilst Im developing the idea I'll continue to offer consultancy/mentoring services on request and Ill be carrying on with mentoring a network of youthvoice champions and the #Campaign4YouthRecognition and work to connect all the different networks that are out there. In the meantime I'd recommend people check out the #CentreforYouthVoice platform and in particular its recently launched #Obervatory hosted by The Centres at YMCA George Williams College. So - my next "official post" will be #NewYearResolutions and of course the regular roundup of #YouthvoiceHonours list of yp recognised in #KingsNewYearsHonours! Happy Holidays 🎄 🎅
