Eric Luley, I am a 60% disabled vet. I have never attempted to have my 60% rating increased. every single day my life is effected by my disability. I have been told by numerous VA Healthcare workers that I should be at 100%. I have spent the last seven years not wanting to bother with attempting a reevaluation, because I feel that others are in greater need of the appointments and effort. Please remember that the military is specifically marketed as a job/career to people who tend to believe that they owe a debt to society, or at least believe that something greater than themselves exists. The amount of money and time used by the VBA in an effort to prevent fraud is greater than any other government entity. Because of the distribution of budgets, it cannot even be tracked. While there may be dishonest advocates and veterans, I believe that the greater problem is veterans and their survivors not wanting to bother with asking, or demanding their rightful benefits. It is important to remember that the military is a part of the government, and it employs service members. The government provides all other employees with workplace protections, and requires all private sector employers to provide workplace protections. Workers Compensation laws & regulations exist to assist injured workers and their survivors in getting made whole. The VA is basically 'workers compensation' for service members. It is not charity, or a low income program. We as the citizens of the United States are the employers of the service members, and we have a moral obligation to ensure that anyone injured in our employment is taken care of, as are their survivors.

Honestly guys… This is a little tongue in cheek, but there are “veteran advocates” on this platform that believe a 100% disability should be a personal goal upon your transition. This may be an unpopular opinion but “100% disabled” should be a fairly difficult standard to attain, for obvious reasons. I worked with disabled and vulnerable veterans when I first retired, and I definitely saw some stuff that raised my eyebrows. And to the vets who are doing the right thing, served honorably, and have to deal with long term and lifetime issues, I have nothing but respect and compassion for you. The VA should absolutely take care of you. Thoughts? #veterans #advocate #disability #military

Understanding the VA disability rating system can be frustrating and confusing. As one veteran shared, the VA considers you 100% when you join, but each injury or illness caused by or exacerbated by military service tears you down. This means that even if you have multiple injuries, the VA may not consider you more than 100% disabled. In fact, as this veteran shared, even if you are rated at a total disability of 150% or more, you may not receive additional compensation. This leaves many veterans feeling frustrated and unsupported. It's important for us to listen to these stories and advocate for change in the VA disability system. Our veterans deserve better. Let's work together to ensure that they receive the care and support they need and deserve." #veterans #disabilityawareness #veteransaffairs

Heads up, veterans! There's been some confusion about stimulus checks from the VA. While the VA doesn't offer stimulus checks, they do provide disability compensation for veterans with service-connected disabilities. Here's the breakdown: VA Disability Compensation: If you have a service-connected disability rated 10% or higher, you may be eligible for monthly compensation. Veterans with a 30% rating or higher can also receive tax-free compensation for dependents. Special Monthly Compensation: This additional benefit helps veterans with specific or combinations of disabilities. Let's spread the word! Share this info with other veterans to ensure everyone gets the support they deserve. https://buff.ly/457Pm0l #veterans #VAservices #disabilitycompensation

𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗮 𝗩𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗻 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗚𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗣𝗮𝘆? Eligible veterans with service-related injuries or honorable discharges can receive monthly tax-free disability pay and compensation from the VA. This support is available to those with physical or mental conditions directly linked to their military service. Upon the rendering of a decision about your VA rating, you become eligible to claim your disability compensation. It might take longer for the Veterans Administration to arrive at a final resolution; this could be due to several underlying factors. However, once you obtain an official notice from the VA affirming their decision, your disability rating becomes verified and binding. Consequently, you will be entitled to receive your VA benefits. It's important to understand that the magnitude of such benefits is directly proportional to the severity of your disability which can range from 10% up to 100%. This serves as a benchmark for determining not only access but also computation of veterans' statutory rights thus presenting an authentic basis for disabled veteran’s pay. If you've dedicated your career to helping disabled veterans like I have, then you know that Camp Lejeune in North Carolina isn't the only domestic military base where veterans were exposed to toxic contamination. I've spoken to countless veterans struggling to come to terms with a cancer diagnosis, who have no family history or discernible risk factors for cancer. After investigative research, our team frequently identifies a potential cause: exposure to contamination while serving at a military base *in the United States.* We've learned that Camp Lejeune is not rare; it is only the tip of the iceberg of over 130 military bases impacted by contamination. 📣 ANNOUNCEMENT 📣 Rob Levine Law is proud to announce the launch of our Domestic Military Base Exposure Map -- an interactive tool on our website providing access to our library of research on military exposures in the United States. Over nearly a decade, our team has worked tirelessly to uncover EPA reports, declassified DoD documents, and other reputable sources-- showing that many veterans have been exposed to hazards during their domestic military service. VA regulations make it easier for veterans with qualifying service to service-connect disabilities related to Agent Orange, burn pits, and Camp Lejeune water contamination. But for millions of others, the success of their VA disability claims hinges on the ability to submit evidence of *actual* exposure. With the Rob Levine Law Domestic Military Base Exposure map, it is our hope that more veterans can not only get the VA disability benefits that they deserve, but they can also make more informed healthcare decisions based on prior exposure(s). If you have any questions or feedback, please email me at kcraveiro@roblevine.com. With your help, we'll continue to improve this map over time as we uncover new evidence of military exposures in the United States.
