The Initial Water Tests of the Artemis 39 Sport Yacht Architecture& Design Andrei Rochian built by Selene Ocean Yachts Artemis 39 Sport Yacht equipped with twin 350 HP Mercury gasoline engines and sterndrive propulsion, first water trials on the river in Pingsha before trimtabs were inslalled, Preparation and Preliminary Checks Before launching, the team conducted thorough checks : Propulsion System: Ensuring the twin 350 HP Mercury engines and sterndrive units were ready. Navigation and Electronics: Verifying GPS, radar, and communication systems. Safety Equipment: Inspecting bilge pumps, fire suppression systems, and emergency tools. After completing these checks, the Artemis 39 Sport was gracefully launched into the water, drawing attention with its modern design and aerodynamic lines. Test Objectives The main goals of the initial water tests included: Evaluating the performance of the propulsion system, including acceleration, cruising speed, and top speed. Testing the underwater exhaust configuration for noise reduction and efficiency. Assessing handling and stability during tight turns, docking, and open-water navigation. Observing the integration of systems, such as bilge pumps, electrical systems, and stabilization systems. Maneuverability and Control The yacht excelled in maneuverability tests, offering precise steering and agility in tight turns. The sterndrive system provided excellent control, allowing the captain to confidently navigate congested waters. Every minute represents 1 month of careful and passionate craft by our Production Team. They have poured their heart into this yacht and we are happy to share this little snippet of carbon fibre yacht building craftsmanship with you! In this video, you will see the fabrication of the wave cutter and of the hull skin until the infusion is completed (you can see the resin flowing through the starboard side of the hull toiwards the end of video). The thin film covering the boat in the last third of the video is to maintain constant temperature while resin cures. A beautiful car, but unfortunately, even a Ferrari gets dirty. Since we are experts in cleaning luxury automobiles, I asked if we could clean it "without water." The client trusted us, and rightfully so. Afterwards, he was surprised to see that his Ferrari didn’t get dirty as quickly anymore. Nobelclean's NC 1 not only cleans effectively, but also protects the paint and wheels. We had already successfully detailed several of his business jets. Here's something a little more adventurous! The AirYacht (not to be confused with Lazzarini Design's Air Yacht) was originally envisioned as a fusion of airship and superyacht. CEO Guillaume Hoddé of the designers (also named AirYacht SA ) describes how the "luxury residence in the sky" has now shifted focus to being an exclusively airborne experience, accommodating up to 40 guests with enhanced amenities. While losing its detachable yacht, it gains volume and sustainability measures, and aims for hydrogen propulsion by 2030. Despite setbacks, prototypes are underway, targeting 2026 for initial flight tests. Watch this space.
