Smoking in public places has always been my major pet peeve, and I don't see how people can smoke in eateries and playgrounds where there are children within the area itself. For establishment owners, it's not easy to tell of patrons (who are at times law enforcement people as well) to stop smoking in fear of losing business and being assaulted. But we need to enforce these laws strictly. For eateries just bake in the fine as part of their meal order, and if they want to dispute it they can call the police. May be let these owners take a cut from the fines as well, whatever helps enforce this law. https://lnkd.in/gpR6WDSs

I found this map of alcohol consumption per state and had to share it (based on alcohol sales per capita). Does anything about it surprise you? ➝ New Hampshire: apparently the tax is lower ➝ Nevada: has to be Las Vegas and tourists ➝ Utah: religious influence? Caveat: this map might be gallons of pure alcohol per capita — so a 5% ABV beer would be 1/20th of a 12oz serving of "pure" alcohol (20 beers = 12oz pure alcohol).
