Refer to Chapter 9 - Supporting green energy and the environment Question 75, 76, 77.. Proposals to increase the NSIP threshold for Onshore wind from 50MW to 100MW and to increase the threshold for solar from 50MW to 150MW. Yes this will undoubtedly remove the days of the 49MW solar farm and hopefully unlock the 50-200MW range of projects which seem to be lacking (in theory allowing more viable sites to come forward that can fit this criteria)..however I do question why different technologies need different thresholds when surely its the level of power produced that determines whether its of national significance? https://lnkd.in/emGWjc85
