Yes, GS estimates a $1T in capex for #AI in next few years and big firms (like JPMC) have started experimenting with #AI, aiming for low-hanging fruits But - low hanging fruits int goanna cut it, if one is aiming for returns on $1T in capex. I can see the 'Investment Committees' fuming at the cash burn rates. The boards are dammed is they do, dammed if they don't. They know transformation is coming, but don't know where and how. Don't want to be seen as laggards, so they are authorizing spends of billions of dollars on consultants to help them get ready for impending change. Which of course only adds to the cash burn, and misery! Management consultants do help with getting the firm ready for transformation - but they also need a set of compelling use cases that deliverable measurable and transformative value. The industry is waiting for new set of #KillerApp that digs deep, uses #AI to transform how business run their key set of processes - client, product, fulfillment, operations/supply-chain, last-mile delivery, etc. All these run on data and intelligence - something #AI is perfectly suited for. And one such #KillerApp is coming! Watch this space :)
