When we first launched Culture Shock earlier this year, we supported 32 languages but users could only navigate the app in English. Today, I'm thrilled to announce that we're officially available in all 32 languages! Users no longer need to set English as their native language to begin learning. This update is rolling out to all our beta users, alongside some enhanced features: Learn any language from your native tongue - no English required! Access news articles, practice sessions, and study materials in various language combinations Interact with our enhanced multilingual chatbot We've discovered this is an fascinating way to easily practice two languages simultaneously! Recapping H1 2024: At the beginning of June, we laid out a 4-step process - Launch English-native in iOS ✅ - Launch English-native in Android ✅ - Launch multilingual in iOS ✅ - Launch multilingual in Android (coming soon!) As we complete these milestones, we're looking ahead and leaning heavily on user feedback. The most common request is the ability to share and collaborate with friends and family on courses. Imagine creating a short study guide for your upcoming cruise trip, setting up your travel study guide in Culture Shock, and instantly sharing it with anyone. We're building this capability, along with the option to share courses publicly. Soon, anyone with similar interests will be able to learn from your recommendations and expert knowledge! Whether you're preparing for a trip or just passionate about languages, join us in creating a global language learning community. If you're interested in shaping the future of language learning, sign up for our beta program at https://cultureshock.ai.

Language apps are tools, but you're the craftsman. In 2024, we're seeing a surge in app downloads. #Duolingo, #Babbel, #Memrise topping the charts. But here's what I tell my Spanish students: Apps can teach words. Only you can learn to communicate. The most successful learners I've taught? They use apps for: • Daily vocabulary practice • Grammar reinforcement • Quick study sessions But they also: • Join language exchange groups • Watch films in their target language • Practice with native speakers It's about balance and application. What's your strategy for moving beyond the app? #LanguageMastery #ContinuousLearning

Excited to introduce my first Flutter project, Toku App! 🎉 Toku App is designed to assist Japanese language learners through interactive lessons across four key areas: ✨ Numbers : Features images, English and Japanese translations, and audio for each number. ✨ Family Members : Includes images, translations, and sound for various family members. ✨ Colors : Displays colors with corresponding names in English and Japanese, along with audio. ✨ Phrases : Provides common phrases in both English and Japanese, accompanied by audio playback. This app offers an immersive learning experience by integrating visuals, text, and audio into each lesson. Developing Toku App has been an incredible journey, allowing me to explore Flutter's capabilities and create a seamless, user-friendly tool for language enthusiasts. github link : https://lnkd.in/dDApvCRD #Flutter #FlutterDev #MobileAppDevelopment

Anyone used Duolingo? Thoughts? I was rubbish at languages at school but as a 30 something, have decided to learn Spanish using the Duolingo app. It seems cool, well presented, lots of repetition and bite size learning chunks but I’m a week in and although I’m enjoying it, I don’t feel like I’m retaining much. Have you used the app? Whats been your experience? #languages #spanish #duolingo #adultlearning #internationalbusiness
