I worked endless hours, delivered results, and took on extra responsibilities. But despite my efforts, my career felt stuck. Then, an unexpected opportunity came my way—a chance to transition from a corporate role to a plant-based role in a large corporate steel industry. 🏭 At first, I hesitated. Would this be a step back? Could I thrive in an environment so different from what I was used to? 𝗜 𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗽. 🌟 𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲’𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗱: 👉 Working at the plant brought me closer to operations and gave me a front-row seat to executing strategy on the ground. 👉 I built stronger relationships with cross-functional teams, understanding their challenges and aligning solutions in real-time. 👉 It taught me resilience, adaptability, and how to lead effectively in a high-pressure, operational environment. This shift not only broadened my skills but increased my visibility. I became recognized as someone who could connect corporate strategy with on-ground realities 🚀 The result? I recently came across an insightful conversation on decision-making rituals, which framed the process around four key questions: 1️⃣ Are we asking the right question? 2️⃣ What’s the decision ritual? 3️⃣ Do we have the right forum? 4️⃣ Who are the decision stakeholders? This framework resonated with me as it covers the why, what, who, and when—essential dimensions for clarity and alignment in the decision-making process.
