The working trip to Turkey has come to an end, but what a final chord it was!🚀 We received a warm invitation from BoomBit to visit their office in Izmir. And all the time we spent there, we felt as if we were among family — that’s how much we were all on the same wavelength. We were immensely pleased with such a reception, it was very pleasant. ⭐️ WATCHING TEAMWORK AT SEA ⭐️ I have just returned from an amazing trip sailing on the Star Flyer Clipper, an elegant tall ship. Sailing on a Clipper takes you back to the glamorous sailing of yesteryear. Historically a Clipper was a mid-19th century merchant sailing vessel, designed for speed. Sailing globally primarily on trade routes between the UK and China. The British played a large part in the boom years in 1843 as our love of a cuppa and brew required a speedy delivery of tea 🍵 from China. After flying to Rome and spending a day and night there we made our way to Ostia which has an archaeological site and is also a Roman seaside town. Time then to make our way to the harbour to board the ship ready for setting sail. The route we took was one day at sea (a little choppy!), then each day visiting a different area - Lipari, Messina, Amalfi, Sorrento, Ponza. There were approximately 144 passengers on board plus crew. What I noticed about the crew is that although they all had a primary role, they were obviously multi-skilled to carry out other supportive tasks too, and it seemed a slick operation. Many businesses multi-skill their teams to cover for sickness or on-leave members, but it goes beyond a temporary compliance measure. Good service quality is key factor forget more quest/customer .
