This video is absolutely deceiving for Kaiser Permanente psychiatry, the Los Angeles Medical Center. I wish I was in northern to receive this type of care but the same cannot be true for Southern California and this is having a severe and negative impact on my life and I’m sure many others! For a few months and as early as Monday, I was denied a crucial appointment because their office cannot provide a and make available CART a simple auxiliary aid ADA accommodation. Nor will they respond with an answer to directly asked messages or questions and letters. #ShameonKaiser #ADA #Disability #TimelyAccesstoCare

Kaiser Permanente KTLA I would love to share my story. A real story that has not been crafted by public relations and marketing for brand messaging but the true failures of patient rights and suppressing the internal turmoil Los Angeles psychiatry department is in presently and over the past year. I volunteer to be shadowed or video recorded for a story of me calling in to ask for help and showing you the delays in real time and following along on this arduous journey. Member services and department receptionist are not in a position to provide solutions around patients health and mental health care. Understandably but that’s as far as you get with the barriers set to keep you & their medical team at an arms length disconnected transaction. This is a leadership and training issue. Better policies and procedures need to be implemented to protect consumers, people with disabilities, and advocacy for people that face barriers seeking help from an organization that is large and uncertain of ADA federal law, title II and title III as it directly impacts the lives of the public. It’s not enough to have an uneducated biased when you’re in the business of helping and saving lives. Call for help and to shed light on a problem.
