🚀 𝙏𝙖𝙙𝙤° 𝙓 𝙝𝙖𝙨 𝙡𝙖𝙪𝙣𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙙! 🚀 Last week I had the great pleasure of presenting tado° X, our next generation smart thermostats in a LIVE broadcast to the international press together with Sophie Shadi Lejeune, Annette Wiedemann and Christian Deilmann. It was an honour to be allowed to represent the hard work of all tadonauts and finally revealing the result to the public. No pressure at all! 😅 𝙎𝙤𝙢𝙚 𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙨 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙖𝙢𝙖𝙯𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙚𝙭𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚: ⏱ Start early: getting a 7 minutes script perfect took a lot of iterations (way more than I could imagine!). 👨🎓 Find a mentor: try to find a person around you - preferably with the experience him/herself - who can coach you to optimise the storyline to perfection. I was blessed to have Dominik Busching on my side! 🎞 Sketch out your slides directly: create a skeleton slide deck (without details) and put respective parts of your script already in the speaker notes. Start practicing your storyline straight away from this slide deck so that you validate the flow of your slides in line with your script early on 🐢 Slow down: I tend to speak too fast, especially when some nerves are involved. I really had to pull the brakes. Build in awkwardly long pauses. Also here a good mentor can be very helpful to confront you when the turbo was kicking in too much during rehearsals. 🤔 Don't "uhm": I also tend to make sounds like "uhm" and "ehh" when I am thinking what to say. I got close to zero, but not completely. Can you count them? ;-) 🚫 Don't worry: final rehearsals will always go wrong. this also happened to us, but in the end it all came together! 😍 Have fun: these are the most exciting moments for you as a product manager and they require a lot of work before you are there. So when you are finally there, enjoy the moment while it lasts! When you will have fun, you will also succeed!
