This January, take a step toward better health while supporting a cause that truly matters. The Canadian Cancer Society’s Go Dry January campaign challenges us to ditch alcohol for the month and make a meaningful impact in the fight against cancer. Why go dry? Limiting alcohol consumption is a powerful way to reduce your cancer risk. Plus, it’s a chance to reset, improve your well-being, and inspire others to do the same. By participating in or donating to the Go Dry campaign, you’re not only embracing a healthier lifestyle but also raising vital funds for cancer research, prevention programs, and support for those affected by cancer. #GoDryJanuary #CanadianCancerSociety #CancerAwareness

Let’s make a life-saving difference together! Children's Cancer Therapy Development Institute (cc-TDI) is just $19,000 away from reaching the September Childhood Cancer Awareness Month goal of $110,000 to help accelerate the critical mission of making all childhood cancers universally survivable. cc-TDI is the only non-profit biotech exclusively focused on underserved childhood cancers, integrating discovery research, development, and clinical efforts. The disparity in drug development is striking—while nearly 600 drugs have been approved for adult cancers in the last 20 years, only 29 have been approved for children over the past 25 years, and just 13 were specifically developed for pediatric use. cc-TDI is working to close this gap by overcoming the barriers that slow pediatric drug development, and your support makes this possible. With just 12 hours left, now is the time to act. Will you join us in investing in children's futures across the globe? Your gift today could unlock tomorrow's life-saving treatments. Your generosity—whether it’s $30, $300, or more—could be the key to ensuring that every child has the chance to live a full, vibrant life. Join us today and help drive life-saving research forward! 👇 https://lnkd.in/grbFrTcT #ChildhoodCancer #GiveForGood #givingbackchildhood #ChildhoodCancerAwarenessMonth #childhoodcancerresearch #cctdi #oregonbiotech

Yes, your inbox will recover from the crushing weight of all the solicitations you’ll receive today, Giving Tuesday. It will be a day of eye-popping donation matches and urgent pleas. And yes, my image of a 44X match was just a little satire (plus a nod to my alma mater, Syracuse, after their big win last Saturday). As you decide where to direct your generosity today, please consider the bold and forward-thinking organizations that don’t just provide services but also leverage advocacy to advance their mission. From cancer and Crohn’s disease to hunger and equality, these organizations will spend the next year defending against devastating funding cuts to federal programs and the rollback of regulations that could hurt millions of people. Your gift to these organizations isn't just charitable giving – it's an investment in lasting change. While immediate relief is a crucial and worthy investment, advocacy work ensures we're also addressing root causes. That's the kind of multiplication effect that truly matters today. #grassroots #advocacy #digitalstrategy Rubenstein Impact Group, LLC #GivingTuesday Grady Health Foundation Crohn's & Colitis Foundation Fight Colorectal Cancer American Heart Association The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

🎗️ As #BreastCancerAwarenessMonth wraps up, the mission to educate, support, and take proactive health actions should continue—beyond October. Ways to Drive Impact Throughout the Year: 1️⃣ Self-Care: Stay informed about your health by knowing what’s normal for your body, performing regular self-checks, and keeping up with mammograms. According to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc., early detection improves outcomes and saves lives. 2️⃣ Support: Consider donating to organizations like Susan G. Komen, National Breast Cancer Foundation and Pickups for Breast Cancer, which funds programs through donated clothing and household items. Contributions fuel research and provide resources for those in need. 3️⃣ Spread Awareness: Openly sharing knowledge and starting conversations reduces stigma and brings us closer to the future where no one faces this battle alone. Through these efforts, we support individuals impacted by breast cancer and contribute to prevention through education and early detection. Consider sharing this post to help spread awareness and inspire others to take action year-round #BreastCancerAwareness #EarlyDetectionMatters #ThinkPink

LinkedIn friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers, I’ve decided to lace up my running shoes again this month, embrace the sweat, and run 100 miles in July for a cause close to my heart: Cancer Research UK (CRUK), with a specific focus on early diagnosis as in most cases the earlier we diagnose Cancer, the greater our chance of beating it. Coming up to the end of week two, I'm on 29 miles, but I'll be past 50 by the end of the week and on track to hit 100 and beyond! I'm proud to say that I'm not doing this challenge alone. I'm joined by some absolute legends from work: Rob Winter, Sophie Andrews, Catherine Gwilliam, Ben Leslie, Garry Hughes, Nick Loxton & Olly Simpson. Why 100 miles? Because running 101 seemed excessive...... My Goal? To raise £500. That's £5 from 100 people or £10 from 50 people, or, well, you get the idea. Every penny counts, and your support, as always, keeps me going and raises funds for this worthy cause. How Can You Help? Donate: Any amount, big or small, will make a huge difference. Even the cost of a coffee could be a step towards beating cancer. Share: Spread the word like you’re sharing the latest viral cat video. The more people who know, the more we can raise! Join me on this journey and make these 100 miles count! Together, we can do our bit to raise money that could be life-changing to so many. Please donate now and track my sweaty journey here: https://lnkd.in/eiC_rhiP Thank you from the bottom of my soon-to-be-tired feet. 🙏 #CancerResearchUK #100MilesInJuly #EarlyDiagnosis #RunningForACause #HelpMeOutrunCancer #CRUK #Fundraising

Countdown to Impact: 5 Days Left in the April Head and Neck Cancer Alliance Move-a-thon 🏃♀️🙏 As the sun sets on this pivotal month, our shared journey of compassion and support takes on a more urgent pace. There are just 5 days left to contribute to a cause that’s much more than a statistic; it's a lifeline for those battling head and neck cancer. I set out with an ambition – a concise, yet significant goal of raising $150 through the Move-a-thon. This sum symbolizes hope – the equivalent of a night at a hotel for a travelling patient or easing the burden covering some essentials on treatment day. Each donation is a beacon of comfort, providing essentials like a gas card, parking, lunch, and sometimes the priceless gift of child care. While the road ahead is paved with possibility, the present moment reflects a challenging truth. I currently stand at 83% of my fundraising target. "The distance between where we are and where we aspire to be is measured not in miles but in moments of generosity." I humbly ask you to consider the value of your daily coffee – could it instead fund a gesture of immense value? A few dollars could mean the world to someone enduring the most challenging fight of their life. Together, we can fill these last few days with action and purpose. Let's rally to offer more than just relief; let’s provide a sanctuary of support for at least one patient in need. To donate, simply click on the link https://lnkd.in/e_d95i2c Your contribution, no matter the size, will weave into the tapestry of someone’s survival story. Let's make these remaining days count! Thank you for standing with me, for them. #HeadAndNeckCancer #HNCA #Moveathon #Support #Donate #CancerCare #MakeADifference
