Resume Tip... When you're submitting your resume to a potential employer or search firm, include your first/last name in the document name. Do NOT use versions or abbreviations. Identifying a document as say "Version 3" makes it feel like it's not a FINAL document. Abbreviations are typically only relevant to you. The recipient will not find it helpful. If you are submitting multiple documents, identify each document and include your first and last name. A good document naming format is (Document name) - (your first and last name). Example: Resume - Michelle Bigler Cover Letter - Michelle Bigler Writing Sample - Michelle Bigler Transcript - Michelle Bigler. If you are submitting multiple transcripts, identify which degree they're for. Transcript JD - Michelle Bigler Transcript BS - Michelle Bigler Transcript LLM - Michelle Bigler Those tiny attention to details will make the recipient's life just a bit easier, speaking from experience. :). #resumetips #interviewtips #jobsearchingtips #legalrecruiter

S - Situation T - Task(s) A - Action(s) R - Result(s). This is the STAR approach that helps to improve the quality of essays. I believe that most of us already know this. The less popular 1 is the 5 Ws framework for writing great cvs. W - Who W- When w - What W - Where W - Why. This framework will significantly improve the quality of your CV.
