Miami's culture, heavily influenced by a ceaseless pursuit of beauty and wealth, is a challenging terrain to navigate for those seeking profound connections. This city, while alluring with its glitz and glamour, has a propensity to place a premium on superficial attributes. It's a place where the allure of fast money and fast living can often eclipse the pursuit of meaningful relationships. But is it impossible to find love in Miami? Of course not. However, the odds are stacked against you. The city's materialistic culture and emphasis on outward appearance create a landscape that's not conducive to nurturing deep, lasting relationships. It's like trying to find an oasis in a desert - not impossible, but certainly challenging. Moreover, Miami, much like a magnet, draws people from fractured backgrounds. They arrive, hoping to mend their broken spirits in the city's dazzling lights and electric energy. But can a place, itself fragmented, offer the healing they seek? Can you find wholeness in a city that's often divided between its reality and its facade? In conclusion, while Miami's charms are undeniable, it may not be the ideal place to find a life partner. The city's focus on superficiality and materialistic pursuits could make the search for a meaningful connection more difficult. So, if you're on the quest for love, consider this: isn't it better to look for a life partner in a place where the culture aligns with your values? Tier 3 Friendships? Oh no! These TAC expressions are cracking me up. 😂 So, what’s this all about? This isn’t preachy, could be screechy, but the end of it, is, just BE AWARE! We humans are social beings, whether we agree or disagree! We all subconsciously or consciously desire long lasting, meaningful friendships and then there are those whom we end up with having ‘the relationship’. But look around or peep into the annals of history – if not governed by the principles of a genuine friendship, the inevitable will bite us in the ass(ets) of our pursuits! Take it or leave it, folks! 😅 TRUTH is ‘the ingredient’ or the bedrock of any friendship. Being truthful from day one – is by just being ourselves, with our strengths and weaknesses and living it as it is! Unmasked! If someone can’t accept us as we are, we shouldn’t have to fake or scam it. We are all a work in progress, as long as we are honest about working on those areas of improvements… so carry on, carrying on! Alongside truth, comes a sense of TRANSPARENCY that begins to grow on us. Wearing our hearts on our sleeves, however, is not for manipulation, but for authenticity. It ain’t hiding behind closed doors or sweeping the dust under the carpet, but to have the tenacity (or the cheese balls) in speaking our minds out and to deliberate about it. We can agree to disagree and still be civil about it! To live amicably as human beings, the honest coexistence of a pluralistic society! 😎 Moreso, even when our words or works come under the scanner, truth and transparency would be the breath of fresh air we'll need and we would have ‘nothing to fear'. Through it all, we'll be left with a more peaceful conscience to sleep with rather than living with a lie and its sting of deception. 😊 Finally, what springs forth naturally from the above seeds of sowing is, TRUST - we become more reliable and credible, far from being incredible though! 😤 Take note, through this journey, we will have our moments of the winds and waves to steer away from as we are not (by-products of Kevlar) bullet proof. Neither we are super men, wonder women or avengers of the universe. Hey, but, we can still become ‘shelters’ where one could rest or take refuge in - houses of restoration and rejuvenation! Remember those friends who have been closer than a brother or sister or a loved one, folks? Cheers to their friendships! Hope and pray we have more of them, than just left to be preyed upon! In conclusion, at least it gives us a perspective to pursue these ‘TIER 3 FRIENDSHIPS’, and hold on to cherished memories! Enough said, sow these seeds and eventually, we’ll enjoy the fruit of it all! The Lighthouse of Life In 20+ years, from the Gulf to Latin America, Africa to the USA, I’ve had the privilege of navigating through an extraordinary journey of cultures, experiences, and people. Like a lighthouse that guides ships through stormy seas, I’ve found that being a beacon for others—whether in times of triumph or tragedy—has been one of the most fulfilling aspects of life. As a former semi-professional blues and jazz saxophonist, I learned early on the beauty of expression, of sharing both the joys and sorrows with others. Music, much like life, is about the harmony of individual stories blending together to create something powerful. In my professional life, these lessons continued to echo, especially as I’ve seen firsthand how embracing diverse cultures drives high performance and integrity. The values instilled in me at Stonyhurst College—integrity, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to others—have been my compass.
